5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

I had the meisterburger (4.90 euros), which was fantastic! Buttery buns which were crispy at the sides, a juicy patty, fresh vegetables - major yums! The burger tasted extra good with the tomato ketchup (and this is coming from someone who doesn't normally like ketchup) I had to wait 20 minutes for my burger, but it was worth the wait!... More

After a few days of culture, we decided to go and explore this area. Whilst it is edgier than West Berlin, it still felt completely safe. Burgermeister at night looks and feels like something from a Dystopian Sci-Fi film, set as it is under the U, in an cast iron building, with a modern plexiglass extension. The burgers are really,... Wow. Just wow. Without a doubt the best burgers ever. We had seen a YouTube blog where a couple had visited and raved about the food so we just had to visit. It wasn't overly busy and we were served within 15 minutes. Proper burgers, full of flavour. And at about €4.50 a pop. I could get very fat if... More

The place is very small and hip- standing room only and often packed. I got a burger, fries and a drink for under €9. Delicious!

Visited at half one after then berlin wall memorial visit. Ordered a chili burger and a bacon cheese burger with fries and a fries with cheese and bacon. Alongside 2 beers it came to 20 euros. Burger was excellent, full after eating it tho. Weird how it's in an old toilet but looks immaculate the guys working in there were... More

After 4 hours biking round Berlin we stopped off at Burgermeister for much needed food and got exactly what we hoped. The menu is short which means everything they make is spot on, with the 'Hausmeister' burger we had coming with cheese, bacon, mushroom, tomato lettuce, gherkin and onion - the perfect burger. Also handily packaged and sized for eating... More

Really great burgers, fast service, nice personal. Proberbly should avoid being there for rush-dinner-hour.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
