They serve yummy local traditional food. A few beers on tab. Located on the sunny side of Oderbergerstr. Outside you'll sit on simple beer benches. Beware of lunch specials: they cost only half the price but also only half the size. Left me hungry :(

A friendly restaurant with a wide choice of typical food from Germany and Berlin. We tasted "Berliner Boulette" and "Jägerschnitzel " and they were delightful ! Beers and tea are various. Not so expensive and friendly people who spoke us English and French. I strongly recommend.

Like my other ratings in that corner of Berlin, this one is highly recommended as well. Breakfast - Great big plate! As a mixed couple (vegie/none vegie) you can ask for a demarcation line set up from salad. Dinner - Great as well, take a look at the blackboards, its always good!

Nice to have a proper German Brunch outside if the weather allows. A lot of choice on the breakfast menu. Not too expensive.

I wanted to have a traditional German breakfast with all the trimmings and this place absolutely lived up to my expectations. We had the Oderberg spezial for 2 people (c 16 Euros) and it was huge. So much that we shared with another guest in our group. Others had pancakes and they looked yummy as well. Service is very pleasant... More

Very nice bar in the middle of rather hectic touristy Oderbergerstr. Plenty of space outside early evening, excellent for an early evening beer and/or light snack. Also good for dinner.

Good location but not so easy to find. Staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast very good (Tea/coffee, great fruits) visited here many times, always good food and fast and smooth service. Nice atmosphere too. This time tested breakfastplatter for two persons. One reason more to go this side of Berlin.

"Cafe Entweder Oder" is a nice, cozy place - with lovely food and very friendly service. It is located right on Oderberger Straße - one of the most visited and lively streets in Prenzlauer Berg. Wonderful outside seating - for a lekker Cappucino-stopover while walking around this beautiful area. Very much recommended.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
