We had recommendations from people to try this establishment. When the pizza finally arived it was very good. However it was not enough to offset the terrible mannners and practices of the staff. I saw an entire table of people who had various disabilities ignored...More

Perfect Neapolitan pizza in Berlin, lots of variations, affordable, very tasty! Service is not perfect, if you get there don't hesitate to catch the waiter/waitress the moment you see him/her or you'll have to wait for 10-15 minutes! Keep in mind - no wifi. But...More

There are plenty of good Italian places to eat in Berlin. However, if you are around Kreuzburg, this is definitely a most. The pizzas have good quality and fresh ingridients, with crazy combinations. They also have daily pasta especials that are worth trying. As any...More

Rude to the bone. They want to be cool I guess, they are just unreal The place was crowded, maybe the pizza is good, I wouldn't know since we NEVER got service. They walked right next to us, the 6 waiters they have, and totally...More

Love this authentic Italian pizza--Italian chefs and waitstaff. Many options to choose from, good house wine, and great price. Average pizza around 8,50€ and definitely filling. Delicious and authentic ingredients. I try to come every time I'm in Berlin!

The pizza is really good. But besides that everything is rather horrible. Getting drinks takes ages, unfriendly staff, way too packed so it is more than noisy and no space around the table! Asking to have some noodles as a takeaway was not possible. "Only...More

Since I moved in around the corner in 2010, Casolare has become a second home. Excellent every time. Very difficult to choose between Ortolana, Incredible and Buon Gustaio. Every time. Ortolana usually wins. Thin crust, crispy, juicy grilled vegetable topping, fresh buffalo mozzarella, preceeded by...More

The food is absolutely superb. The dough of the pizza is just as perfect as it should be and the tagliatelle with lamb were as perfect as you would expected them to be in a nice rustic Tuscan trattoria. The prices are very reasonable. The...More

Third time's the charm. Two years ago we visited Il Casolare twice, this year we decided to come back. Authentic, real Italian pizza with thin crust, thin layer of toppings (but oh the flavours!!) and size even Romans would envy. The service, well, we arrived...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
