When you have cravings for Vietnamese food and are limited in time and finance, this is a good place to go. Tasty and cheap, quick service. Cash only

I recommend the tempura vegetables, chicken noodle soup and the deep fried bananas with crushed peanuts. The food was delicious and quite healthy compared to other choices in the area. The service was excellent. I just wish we had a Hamy's back at home!

I was disappointed with flavor of Pho Bo. Bouillon is just water, salt & sugar. It's not tasty for me.

Got a recommendation by a friend that I need to visit this place since it's really cheap. I was astonished on the quality and amount of food which I received. For 5€ I got a really decent meal which would be worth much more in some other restaurants. Go for it if you are somewhere close this place, it is... More

We visit Berlin roughly twice a year, but this place is always top of our list of places to eat. Unbelievably delicious food, speedy service, friendly staff, pretty cheap prices - everything you could wish for!

where to start? be aware that this place can seem rushed and full all the time, but it's because everyone wants to eat there.. usually you can be put in the middle of a big long table next to strangers, but it doesn't really matter, you're there to get an authentic ethnic experience. the food is well worth the wait... Always good food. You know what you get. Service isn't the most friendly one, but it is efficient and fast. I used to eat there at least once a week. Always crowded but still a visit worth it. Unless you expect a calm place to talk and sit for hours. Take away is offered.

We three visited a couple of nights ago and had the rice noodle bowl, mostly because that was what everyone else was having. Two with chicken and one with tofu. The bowls were a good size for 4.90, very quick to the table and quite spicy (in a good way!). We enjoyed the dishes. I ordered a mango lassi which... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
