So glad we went here. My son eats meat and I'm a vegan so I did a lot of research of where we would both be happy and Pasterank fitted the bill perfectly. I had a 4 course vegan set meal for 24 euros; lentil...More

Thought the food was pretty bland. The dumplings were very doughy, and the fillings had no flavor. Overall, the service was pretty spotty. My husband ordered a beer that never came. Desert was included in my meal, but we got tired of waiting and asked...More

My husband and I have been to Pasternak about 3 times this year. If you want to sit inside you have to book; it's very popular. They have lots of outside seating too but we haven't eaten outside yet. We had romantic dinners there and...More

Phoned late to make a booking and was offered an outdoors table, but when we arrived they found space inside (very welcome on a rainy night!). Had borscht (excellent) and then shared some delicious dumplings. My main course of perch-pike was delicious. Washed down with...More

We went there for the second time in a month and again really enjoyed the brunch. Although the place was quite full, the service was excellent and they even helped us to find space for our stroller. Food is great. I'd like to try the...More

First came for a lunch and wasn't overwhelmed although the service was wonderful. Glad we gave it another try for dinner as the service was still great, but the ambiance (inside) and the food were also very good. Lots of good menu choices and the...More

Came across this place by accident on a cold evening recently. The food is outstanding although the service was a little slow. But they made up for that by providing blankets for our group who were all seated outside. Definitely recommend it. Dave from Ireland

Pastetnak is a Russian-Jewish restaurant in trendy Prenzlauerberg. It's not something we find on every street corner in the U.S. So we took a rewarding food tour East. My wife had borscht followed by kreplach, both out of the ordinary and both excellent. I had...More

Great wine from Georgia and fine Russian-Jewish fare. We had dumplings and steaks along with the Pasternak mixed appertizer which was very good

Another restaurant in the residential neighborhood just outside of touristy Berlin. There is lovely outdoor seating, minstrels to entertain you, and excellent service. The food was a little pricey and only okay but this was a great change of pace from the heavier German fare.

Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
