Having been to the best Austrian restaurants, my expectations were high. The food was good but I wouldn't put it on my list to return any time soon. Small cozy restaurant. If you are not spoiled by restaurants in Austria like Plachuta, you may like...the food here and not know the difference. For me the Tafelspitz was a bit of a disappointment.More

A cosy restaurant. Food was good quality but quite expensive compared to other places . Staff were efficient but unfriendly and not proactive. We would not rush back.

Overrated af. I mean the waiters are good persons, they trying their best and they are quite good serving costumers, its not their fault, but the food is average and totally overpriced. The schneizel was huge but when you realise is all fried breadcrumbs and almost no meet...and you’re paying 29,99+ your mood goes down. I’m Italian so my expectations are quite high,ok,but I ended up my dinner paying 118 euros for a salad ,2 Schneizel and 500ml of average Austrian wine I have to tell you guys no.NO. I am an Italian chef and I was so much happier with a Burgermeister. I really appreciate your effort guys, but no, I will not come back.sorry.More

Get the schnitzel and don't look back! Attentive and kind, we ate at the bar and enjoyed every minute of it. Bravo!

Great restaurant with great attentive service and authentic Austrian food at a reasonable price. We sat at the bar which was really informal but cool and had great beer and meals.

We had an outstanding meal. The food quality was excellent as was the service. Best Wiener Schnitzel I have ever had! The apple strudel was amazing. This was the perfect way to celebrate the end of our vacation in Germany.

I dined here on May 4, 2023 after reading good things about the restaurant on Trip Advisor. I had a 6:00 reservation and was seated immediately. The service throughout the meal was attentive and professional, without being hovering. All staff that I interacted with were...very friendly and spoke very good English. I had the "special" three course meal that consisted of pumpkin soup (outstanding), Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad (also great) and some type of dessert cake-like pastry. Washed everything down with a very tasty pilsner beer. A very nice meal, and I would highly recommend dining there. The only downside was the prices, which definitely seemed on the high side, but then the quality was excellent, so hard to complain.More

Dinner at this centrally located restaurant. We can without prior reservation. We were graciously welcomed by the hostess. The food was excellent. We had very tasty appetizer (wrapped goat cheese and green salad) followed by excellent veal schnitzel and culminating with Kaiserschmarrn which could have...used more butter frying. And pricing was very reasonable. Overall, good culinary experience (except for Kaiserschmarrn).More

I was just walking the streets of Berlin, when the colours at the enterance of the restaurant catched my eyes. The menu outside seemed to be updated and was telling me the stories of my beloved Wien, making me reminessence about the good old days....I almost heard Stolz’es “Mein Wien” in my head, when it almost dragged me inside. And there it was - a restaurant I fell in love with. No gen Z personel, just adults, loving and knowing what they do and how they do it. In the service, in the kitchen - grownups doing nothing but their job. Love it! I was seated at the bar. A perfect spot to watch the perfectly orchestrated symphony between the kitchen and service. My meal started with “Tafelspitzsuppe mit Leberkloß von der Ente- Bouilion” You may call it what you want, I will go and describe it as ideal. The Leberkloss could have been more firm, though the Bouillon was perfection. The Wiener Schnitzel was accompanied by a typical potato salad and cranberry jam. The veal was uniformly thin and covered in perfect pannade. One could discuss shoud the panade rather stick to the meat or get deattached while frying, forming these big blobs an the surface, though this would be a rather academic discussion. I also made the mistake of ordering Kaiserschmarrn, which was mindblowingly authentic, and therefore really tasty. The portion was not human though, or intended to be a dish for sharing. I bow before the passion for cooking, the sincerety, professionalism and warmth of service, the choice of music and beautiful emotions I was allowed to take home with me. This is a place I really recommend to visit. I for sure will be coming back!More

Lazy Sunday lunch while Berlin is preparing for the Christmas markets next week. Of course we did the schnitzel and of course we finished off with strudel. No surprises, all good, swift service and nice atmosphere.

We went for dinner , we went directly for the main dishes: the Zwiebelrostbraten, a medium roasted Entrecôt with onion sauce , green beans and potatoes, and I went for the Medallions of saddle venison with chanterelles, white poppy seed-dumpling, broccoli and glazed figs. We...don’t regret, on the contrary we were enjoying every single bite of the two dishes. The two dishes have big portions, so you better be hungry if you would like to also try the desserts they offer.More

We went in for the lunchtime special and both had the schnitzel, then shared desserts of delicious apfel struedel and sachertorte. The main course was very nice, and the sachertorte better than I had at the Sacher cafe in Vienna. Lovely friendly service.

If you want to visit this restaurant for dinner, I'd recommend you get a reservation! I was lucky to snag an early table, but it got quite busy throughout the evening. Staff is very professional and friendly, happy to amend dishes per request and always...at hand to give recommendations. I had the Cordon Bleu and the Marillenknödel (apricot dumplings) of which I had a half portion that they were happy to accommodate. Food is very high standard, good size portions, and mostly organic and made from scratch with traditional recipes. Definitely the best meal I've had in Berlin so far!More
