Forget KFC this place is the best for chicken. A friend who used to live in Berlin took us otherwise we would never have stumbled across it. He told us it's been the same for years (possibly 100) very cosy and traditional atmosphere. Our friend...More

Loved this quirky restaurant where Kennedy popped in for a beer during 1963 ( our main reason for going ) . Booking in advance is advised . Quite dour inside - almost Gothic , with dim lighting and red checked table cloths . Bossy waitress...More

We read about this restaurant in a 2014 edition of Fodor guide. As it was not the latest review, we were hoping that the praise would still be applicable three years later. It is!! There is essentially only one chicken dish (their speciality): a fried...More

I went to Henne 6 years ago while travelling and was so happy to return on this trip to Berlin. It's an old-school German style restaurant with small, cozy seating. The main dish is fried chicken and it is hands down the best fried chicken...More

Henne is 100% worth a visit while in Berlin, no matter how short your trip, but make sure to book! It's pretty small inside, but when the weather is nice there is extensive seating outside. The menu is very sparse, but that's because if you...More

This is a MUST if you visit Berlin and want a basic local Berlin eating experience (celebrating 100 years). Atmosphere, history and good food. JFK reputed to have drunk a beer here during his visit in '63 (but he didn't - ask to see the...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
