The food was actually ok compared to the price. However, the service was extremely slow. First time ever I've witnessed empty glasses for an entire group half through the meal.

The menu covers three languages - French, German and English. The prices are quite high for lunch. The service was slow. Food nice though.

If you like food "the way it used to be", this is the place for you. Very traditional and a bit expensive ... but very good.

I've no doubt that this restaurant was good in it's day but on the day I visited it was sadly lacking primarily in service and food quality. My entrecôte was cooked as required but the quality of the meat was such that half of it was gristle and the béarnaise sauce was too runny to be enjoyable. Brasserie de Paris... More

As has been indicated in other reviews, there is little room between tables - but hey, this is no different in France, so was not a concern to us. The staff were fine, no problems in that respect, with drinks being served promptly and time to enjoy them before dinner being served. The food was good wth very bistro like... More

Since we were late coming in to the city we were hungrily expecting something from a place close to our hotel. That turned out quite difficult but this place was packed to capacity and yet we were able to get in. Quite French in many ways: good food, negative staff attitude (just like in Paris, France) and with a cozy... More

I always pick one night for french food whenever I go on vacation (if I can). This was a great find. For less than 100 euro, we shared a plate of escargot, steak filet, ribeye (freaking, bloody, delicious) and some weirdly wonderful side of potatoes. Service was prompt and the placed was cramped. I actually like the cozy nature and... More

Heard a lot about the Paris Bar (good & bad) that I decided to check it out myself, should the opportunity arrive. Now I met an old friend and we visited the Paris Bar. The "design" is a bit shabby chic and the tables small and tightly packed. The waiters were friendly but with a Berlin "twist", once you get... More

Great surroundings, but the waiting staff are completely indifferent to the point of rudeness and the lack of space between the tables means that you are squashed together like sardines. If you are determined to check it out for the history & art I'd advise just staying for a coffee.

Thank BloomingMarvellous

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
