Have the spanakopita, it's is out of this world! They got wide range of cakes and pastries, and regular breakfast dishes too. I wish I could eat it all :)

We waited 45 minutes for a pancake! Service is horrible no one told us we would wait that much when we gave the order!

It is a little messed up to know that the owners are willing to punch their female workers in the face if their relationship goes sour. If you can over this then the food (not so much the coffee) is quite good.

I would not recommend this cafe at all. The way the owners treat their employees is not acceptable, and what they offer is nothing special. There are many other great cafes in the area... for example Suicide Sue up the road.

The place is very small and familiar, the food is very tasty and various. Good choice for salt and sweet food.

Me and my partner made a take away reservation for chocolate cheese cake and coffee. These both was gorgeous!!!. Moreover, the place is so cosy and makes you fell like you're home.

A lovely Portuguese bakery in the Prenzlauer Berg area. Always busy. Always with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Delicious pastries but they also do small breakfasts like scrambled egg. Lots of parents with young children. Lovely furnishings.

A family owned bakery, where they still do their own pastry and cakes, everything handmade. Besides from nice sandwiches and cakes you can find a lot of traditional portugese pastry, what is a welcome change from the cafes in the area.

We arrived on the last day of the year around 2pm. A lot of places where closed. The area was very calm. We opted to lunch here. There were not a lot of sandwiches left. Our son had a Tokyo Sandwich which was like ham and cheese which was warmed like a panini. It was really tasty. We took some... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
