This is a much better alternative than a hotel breakfast. Well-prepared, fresh food and courteous service. Eggs, bacon, toast and salad breakfast for 6 euros!

Fair food and prices. We stayed in a hotel near this place and Caluccino was a perfect substitute for hotel beakfast :-)

I went here for breakfast and can't complain. I got the "german breakfast" for 7€. A big plate with ham, cheese, salami and much more. Staff was friendly and I got my order quickly. So I really can recommend and will come back.

We ate breakfast here twice while in Berlin. The breakfasts were great and very large, and the coffee, while a bit pricey, was also very good. Plus you can eat inside, on the street or in the courtyard out back.

We had a quick breakfast there, complicated by our limited understanding of German, but--after someone helped with translations--really nice.

Used this place 3-4 times this week. Coffee is good. Bigger than it looks from the outside. Also a patio out the back.

This was just round the corner from our hotel. We had the Big Breakfast for two which is a platter of cold meats, chesses, fruits, yoghurts and breads and it was great. Huge portions and really nice typical German breakfast. If you're going to call yourself Cappuccino then you better make a good Cappuccino and luckily for them the coffee... More

Although the coffee is served with long life milk, it is still good and I love the options for breakfast at very reasonable prices. Plenty of seating on offer inside and out and fast service.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
