This place kept coming up on tripadviser as one of the top places to eat near where we were staying so we hunted it down to check it out. We arrived thinking we had the wrong place, until the food came out. It's all simple, tasty food in good portions and there is a great friendly atmosphere. Not a great... More

The place need some renovation, but the food is amazing! We ordered "small schnitzel" (it's really big) with potatoes and 3 meatballs with potatoes and green beans. Everything tastes really good, it was like my father's cooking. Be aware of big portions, the prices are really good.

While in Berlin, my wife and I had to go to Imbiss 204. I have read so much about it and how great it is, it did not disappoint. There are only a few tables inside. They only have a few menu items to choose from, but they are all great. The meatball platter came with 3 giant meatballs with... More

We saw the reviews and decided to try this place out. It is quite small but worth finding. We had the schnitzel with the pickles, pickled vegetables, potatoes- all of it was delicious! The extra sauces/ jams were great with it too and complimented it nicely. I highly suggest going here!

Delicious food almost too good to be true at this tiny spot ( the size of a take away) You will be surprised at the quality of all the dishes. Do not miss the dessert :)

We'd heard so many good things about this place and it lived up to all of our expectations. The prices were amazing, the portions were massive and the execution was flawless. The particularly nice thing about the prices was that it felt like they weren't trying to 'catch you out' anywhere- we knew that the food prices were really good... More

First check my first picture! What would you expect? You'll be surprised. Perfect food, perfect service. Was recommended by a friend & I never expected that really nice food. If you see only the outside you'll never try it. It's a crazy concept but it seem to work. The food is really super & definitely worth to go there.

This is a very small restaurant that you would almost walk by, but don't, the food was amazing and cooked fresh for you by a couple of big burly guys. Don't expect white tablecloth service, but expect to leave extremely satisfied.

this small restaurant located in the Prenzlauer Berg not far from the Berlin Wall Memorial serves excellent german food at rather inexpensive prices. We got the Bouletten (German meatballs) and the large portion of Wiener Schnitzel. they were both amazing and this restaurant was our favorite in Berlin. We'll definitely return.

The meatballs at this tiny restaurant were absolutely delicious and came with pan fired potatoes & bacon rounded off with a huge helping of green beans. The volume of food was enormous and yet the main course was less than Eur9,00 (I can't remember exactly as my brain had ceased to function while all blood flow was redirected to my... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
