We were staying at the attached Circus Hotel, (which by the way, is excellent) and ate here one evening after an exhausting day if walking and we couldnt be bothered to go out for food. I'm not usually one for hotel restaurants, and don't usually even use them for breakfast if it costs extra. Fabisch has a laid back atmosphere,... More

It was very convenient to have this pretty restaurant in the hotel to grab a bite to eat. The servers were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the menu was very limited and as my husband has dietary issues, we only ate here once.

we stayed at the easy hotel over the road where the staff recommended this place for breakfast. It was lovely, i had pancakes with fresh fruit and chocolate sauce which was very nice. There was a buffet breakfast option available too. We also had afternoon coffee here with a biscuit. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it is a lovely... More

The Fabisch, on the ground floor of The Circus Hotel, has a limited menu but serves very satisfying meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresh ingredients help. There is also a well-stocked bar.

Don't usually eat at Hotel Restaurants, but this was a first class experience. Nice atmosphere and the food was delicious.

The Circus Hotel is our stay of choice when we visit Berlin, and we have of course enjoyed several good breakfasts at the hotel, in restaurant Fabisch. Their yogurts and home-made müsli is excellent. A large selection of tasty bread to go with good, eco-friendly meat and cheese. We have also enjoyed dinner there, and has always been well satisfied.... More

Although located near a busy intersection this restaurant offers a nice, quite, trendy place to eat. Staff are excellent and the service quick and efficient. There is a good selection of both food and drinks.

We enjoyed the food as tasty and reliable with very friendly staff. Breakfast is to order or buffet of meat cheese juices and muselie. Plenty of seating areas inside or in enclosed courtyard. There are big sliding doors to the kitchen. You can see it is well kept.

I was in need of a place for breakfast where I could use wi-fi and found it at Fabisch. Breakfast for EUR12,50 which includes coffee, tea, juices, bread, cheese&ham, marmelade, fruit, eggs and a lot of muesli with either milk or jogurt. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere very chilled, layed-back. Even though i didnt stay at the hotel... More

We ate here on our last night in Berlin and really enjoyed the food - although the children found the coasting on the schnitzel was a little too different for their liking. The adults happily helped them. the chicken in coconut with a mango dressing was very good.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
