Very tasty meals for a not-very-high price. Very diverse menu. Kitchen works in late hours. Perfect choice of beers. Became my favorite local bar during a one-month business trip in Berlin. Will come here every time I visit Berlin.

Nice little traditional german restaurant , enjoyed a nice Wiener schnitzel and limoncello spritz. My only slight criticism would be that there was not an English menu available so I had to use google translate , there was also no wifi .

Warn potato salad , schnitzel and cold beer who can ask for more. I have been here 5 or 6 times over the last few years. There is a fair size patio for dining and drinks, which most of the locals seem to gravitate to. Warm throws are provided for the cooler weather. Bread and butter plus nibbles served while you wait for your dinner.Note...had a male server the last time who was neither friendly or efficient.Prior visits we always had female servers who were very good.

This week we went to the seal gate more and more after a long hard day's work. Always we were greeted very friendly by the senior chef and the waitress Nicole has made us sit excellently and courteously at a table that was reserved, but for 1 hour we were allowed to sit and eat at this table with dog. Today is my husband's birthday and we wanted to eat a little something at the seal gate and sit down at the usual table where we usually sit for 1 hour. Unfortunately, today the fat blonde woman who usually stands behind the counter waited. She is ignorant and dismissive. Under no circumstances can we sit at our usual table. Not even for an hour. We are also denied the other table that is suitable for us. It's obviously more important to her to keep tables free than to sell food and satisfy customers. This is not the first time this service has treated us like this. We used to come to the seal gate almost every day, but after several troubles with this woman we reduced our visits a lot. And we will probably continue to do so. Too bad - the restaurant is around the corner and comfortably furnished. We appreciate being treated kindly and courteously, just as Nicole did on our recent visits. I'm not a petitioner, I'm a guest and I pay for my food - I don't have to beg for a table I'd like to sit at if it's available. As if restaurants don't need to fight for their guests these days. Too bad, we were just coming back to the seal gate more often... But other restaurants also have nice tables...

Had a breakfast there with my wife. It was the only open restaurant in the area that's open in the morning to serve breakfasts. They have an English translated menu with a good variety of breakfasts to choose from ranging in around 6-15 euros per person (coffee/tea is not included in the breakfast). There's an inside and an outside place to sit. The waitress and the barman were very nice and friendly. In our case, we payed 24 euros for 2 good breakfasts + cup of coffee and tea.

This is a very popular local restaurant. We were a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was good and they have menus in English.

We'd booked the table there to celebrate the birthday of our friend. It was a Friday evening and there were enough parking places around this area. The place itself is quite big but nevertheless very cozy, has the kind of atmosphere of a good pub. With the size of a serving and the quality of food I was very satisfied. It's ideal place to go in when you're hungry. Certainly recommended.

This is the typical German bar and restaurant, where you can find every day a different menu for a good price for lunchtime, so has different dishes like a super good hamburger or some Asian food dishes. On Sundays they offer since about 10 am until 4 PM a varied brunch for about €11. You have to book with time. In the evening you might find some locals having a beer or watching some sport events on the several small TVs that are at the entry.

Been there today, me and my wife. Bar was empty, 5 or 6 tables at max. Waitress looked at us and passes by. We moved tô a table closer to the bar. Anorher waiter passes, looked and gone. I called the first waitress, she looked at me and didnt come. O only tried the beer, that was the only thing I managed to ask. Awful place, awful people, the worst in Germany.

I actually visited here twice whilst I was in Berlin as I was that impressed with the food. The portions are very generous and excellent value for money. I'd highly recommend booking in advance though as the place gets really full in the evenings.

Cozy, full of life. Big portions for a decent price. Lovely food and drinks. You have to book a table because of the popularity. We will be back when we return to Berlin

Extensive menu, good food, large portions and attractive prices. A family dinner for EUR 60 is a bargain at this place.

Returned for 3rd year whilst in Berlin for the marathon, and once again found both the staff and customers extremely friendly. The food is of a very good quality and serves late into the night, menu choice very good and very reasonable prices. Any sporting event will be on the tv's, especially football, but the bar is never noisy. Same staff this year as last who remembered us from previous years, certainly recommend a visit.

Schöneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
