At Asteria, the staff is committed to you enjoying yourself. The moment you sit down, a waiter is instantly pouring your table shots of Ouso. You think, "Well, okay. Just one." But NO, the moment you finish the one shot, they immediately refill. Even if you take a sip, the waiter is there to fill it back to the brim.... More

A friendly spot. We arrived after being up for 30 hours and had the fish fillet and giant prawns( heads still on). The olive appetizer and the complimentary ouzo were a nice start. They have a large menu with all the traditional Greek foods. Note: they do not take credit cards. Many restaurants don't so have enough cash with you.... More

I had only once a chance to eat in this restaurant! First of all you would never expect such big portions when you order any dish. all food is cooked by Greek recipes and it is very tasty and delicious. And in addition to your order, after food you will get some desserts complementary and at the beginning welcome drink... More

Came for a family dinner and would love to come again. Tasty food, good service, busy but all good buzz, rounds of free ouzo and compliment fruits and desert to close the night.

Great food, free ouzo, live music. If you want a fancy dining experience, go elsewhere. If you want a warm, South European feel, come here. Book in advance for Friday and Saturday evening.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
