Very good russian food just few steps from U8 Rosenthaler St. stop. Wide selection of food and excellent portions.

Berlin is full of trendy and quirky restaurants with cool décor and good food. Gorky park is one of them and was recommended tome for the same reason. I've had lunch there once and take-away twice. It only takes one unpleasant experience with a waitress whose attitude was weirdly bossy and slightly annoyed for a customer like me to decide... More

Great decor and very solid, Russian themed food. We had breakfast on a Monday morning, enjoyed the food and the decor, though it was a little quiet.

I think this may have been may have been my first ever russian restaurant experience and so I ordered a mixed plate of dumplings not knowing if I would like them. Yum and double yum - devoured all and enjoyed every last bite. Son stole my hot lemon drink however.

We came across this restaurant as we were discovering the neighbourhood and we're very satisfied with our choice. The place is cosy and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was simply delicious and the price, reasonable. Try the mixed plate of 3-style appetisers - exquisite! Bill ended up at Eur40 for 2 (not including deserts).

We found this restaurant and ate breakfast here twice! The food was tasty and hot. The servers were happy to make changes to the menu to accommodate my husband's dietary issues. The ambiance is very cozy.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
