We had lunch here outside on the rooftop. The views are great, prices for lunch are very reasonable. Nice cafe with good service.

The staff is arrogant, rude and unfriendly. I wanted to go in for coffee, but the restaurant was closed that day for some event. Instead of polite reply the bartender insulted me and tried to push me away physically, with the closing door of the...restaurant (just FYI, I'm a thin and not very tall woman who won't look for any conflicts just to get in). This is the first time I encounter such a low level of service. Just enjoy the view on a 3rd floor with panorama windows, it's almost the same, but you'll keep a good mood and a nice impression of Berlin.More

Good Afternoon Natalia K, We thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry you got bad mood after not getting in Event-Location Humboldt Terrassen for a coffee when it was exclusively reserved for a private party. Though no-one from our Team did or said...More

Overpriced restaurant, tourist trap. The view is nice, but the staff are not. Avoid, visit a the panorama point near potsdamer plats or the tv-tower for the view instead.

This restaurant has a wonderful views of the Berlin city centre. It is elegant and stylish, but the quality of food is medium. Northern European standards.

After a long morning checking out the museums in Berlin my wife and I were in need of some refreshment. We decided to try the Humboldt Terrassen café/restaurant with its views over museum island. On arriving nobody seemed interested in assisting us to a table...and when we did catch the eye of the waitress she was rather surly. The prices were verging on high end restaurant prices but without the quality of surroundings or service. Needless to say we didn't stay and neither would I recommend anyone else to visit.More

If you are looking place to make a pause, have a drink with a nice view, then this is the place. But don't eat there!!!! The worst hamburger I have ever tried! Disgusting meat! When the waitress asked if it wasn't good, I told her,...but they charged it even though I have barely eaten it. Very disappointing.More

Great place for a lunch, small party or just admiring the views. The latter one is a real point of differentiation versus other restaurants. It is worth walking up all the stair ( there is also a lift probably ) to admire breathtaking views at...Berling Cathedral, TV tower and the main street leading to Branderburg gate. The place offers decent food, nice selection of drinks and energetic small party supported by a DJ.More

It may not be the best restaurant, but the location is spectacular and we experienced that you get a seat at a nice table even in tourist season. If you want to take a short break from sightseeing- that may be the right place to...go offering a stunning view down to the Brandenburg Gate and up to Alexanderplatz.More

I visited with a few friends and we had a light lunch followed by coffee and cake. Very nice surroundings and spectacular views of the city. Good value for money. Service was a little slow but that gave us time in between courses. A very...nice café/restaurant in a superb location. Note that dogs are not allowed in this establishment. Well worth a visit.More

After wandering through the free exhibition, we made our way to the cafe at the top. After being offered a useful menu in English for our limited German, I also admired the large selection of enticing cakes. The cake was sumptuous, the service helpful and...friendly, the coffee was good, the currywurst was acceptable. The views are stunning out over Berlin, and you can also sit outside to admire them (it was freezing with snow when we were there, so we declined!). Worth a visit to the 5th floor, and there is a lift to get you there :-)More

This box open at 10.00 a.m everyday and is free entry. The box had a interactive Video that sensed your Emotion. Lovely view overlooking the Old St Paul Church and the Altes Museum. The box itself explained how Berlin Palasts looked like before it was...destroyed but now being rebuilt. The coffee shop up in the rooftop does not really have many tables to have coffee with to enjoy the scenery from their balcony facing the lustgarten and altes musuem.More

It took ages before we got our food and didn't bring the extra drinks we ordered for the food. Had to walk three blocks to find an ATM because they didn't accept credit cards. Is this Berlin 1971?

We had a really wonderful curry sausage in the restaurant of the Humboldt-box 2 years ago. So we came back here last week only to find an ordinary sausage with ketchupsauce and currypowder. Anyway this restaurant has a wonderful view at the cathedral, the Lustgarden...and the Unter den Linden. So I will come back here and follw the reconstruction of the Berlin Castle. The castle will be finished in 2019. At that time I expect the box will be gone.More
