If only for the attempt to understand my German. But food worth it.friendly people good food excellent wine. What more do you need.

Restaurant is nicely decorated with wooden walls, tables and chairs. Give you atmosphere of old times. Lunch was good, I have potato soup, pork knuckle with sauerkraut, with mashed peas. Staff is OK.

Good bear, nice local foods, perfect ambiance,... kind of perfect place to be in old town Köpenick. Had a nice "pan" with different meats and stuff, think it was called the pan of the captain of Köpenick... enjoyed it well after a hard day of work.

This place was just a wonderful surprising gem. We were planning on eating at a different restaurant in Koepenick but it would have been a wait, so we stepped into the Zur Alten Laterne and felt like we had stepped back in time.
