The weather was awful so we probably didn't get to experience the best views, but even sitting amongst the clouds was a great way to spend an hour or two. We pre-booked the coffee and cake, definitely worth it, you can order what you want off the menu whenever you get there anyway. I've been to Berlin a good few... More

I booked online for a window seat in the restaurant also the ticket gave me fast track, highly recommend this as the queues were.long even just to get the lift back down. The views were soectacular and the food was delicious, as a solo traveller I am always wary of going in to restaurants but this had to be done... More

We visited the TV tower and restaurant for the coffee and cake option during a city break, pre-booking online and it was truly a highlight of the trip. It was very well organised although we still can't understand why our grour group of three were asked to check our coats in on a different floor of the building while others... More

We only ha a few drinks but could also see that the food looked great. It's definitely worth visiting for the panoramic views of the city, either for a drink or for a meal.

Very nice breakfast looking all over Berlin panorama. The restaurant rotates so you can have a 360 degrees vision of the city without moving from the seat. Tables closer to the windows are a bit more expensive, but it is definitively worth it.

I came here with 4 of my friends during our trip to Berlin. I recommend booking online and booking the window seat. We had to get through 2 security searches before going up but we enjoyed because chaperoned by a gentleman in the lift who provided up with extra information. I do think that the food choices were limited, but... More

The view as you can imagine is amazing! When you book, you can sit either by the window or the inner circle bit, we chose the inner circle bit because there were not any window tables left and it was just as good a view. We were worried about the price of the food because we had not seen a... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
