The food was prepared very poorly. Everything overcooked. Such a waste of beautiful ingredients. One person got her dish when the rest of us were already finished. But, i have to say, we did get a discount because 1 dish was delivered late. So, A for effort.

I had the seafood paella and was not let down: the price may seem steep, but you get a more than generous portion. What I'd recommend: share a paella for two person with three or four people and get some tapas as starters.

Party of 6 - got a table on the pavement without reserving, although they were fairly busy. Two of the party had a main course which got good marks (chicken stuffed with cheese and chorizo, glazed beans). The remaining 4 shared some tapas - we had about 8 or 9. All were good without being remarkable (although I missed out... More

Was touring the prenzlauer area of Berlin and came across this quiet corner establishment with a slight romantic ambience . A large variety of tapas suitable for all eaters including veggies. A bit pricey. Had five small tapas, two cavas and two beers and came out to 50 euros. Recommended if you are in the area. Not worth a trip... More

Tres Tapas is a restaurant with a nice atmosphere in a touristic area of Berlin. The waitress was super nice to us. The tapas were pretty good, while the paella was not cooked enough. They have problems with credit cards (even Visa or MC) from foreign countries, which is pretty annoying as in 2015 you are not supposed to go... More

The tapas were fine and the experience was quit good. Too bad we had to ask for every beer. We got the bill before we wanted and that felt unwelcome. We couldn't pay by card, they accept German cards only. Too bad, a kitchen with such cooks deserves a better ranking.

This is an okay restaurant, in a busy bar area. Berlin style, don't expect too much attention from the waiters. Food and drinks seem okay, while main reason to be there probably is the atmosphere. Outside seating available.

Really tasty and well prepared tapas. Great and fast service from the waiters. Great wine recommended. And they serve Ron Arehucas. Have already recommended and will return.

Visited with friends (we are not tourists) and was disappointed by the service. Berlin is notoriously bad in general but this place was on the low end of things. The service was fairly slow in general. The main issue was that two things we had ordered were not delivered. This is despite giving the waiter a written list of what... More

Description
A popular venue for tapas. It offers some 20 varieties and choosing can be difficult. If you can't get enough, go for a large portion. All tapas are available in half-sized or full portions. This goes down well with the clientele and so does the overall concept too. The Turkish restaurateur and Andalusian chef offer pure gastronomic pleasure for the cosmopolitan diner. The freshly served skate wings and quark ice-cream are not to be sneezed at either. The oval lamps that look like UFOs provide an interesting decorative feature. The restaurant also serves a selection of choice wines. In short, our favourite Spanish restaurant.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
