On a lovely street in Kreuzberg, we ate here on a whim and immediately got a table. The food looked good on the detailed menu, but plated was tasteless, bland, and oily. We ordered a noodle dish and a chicken/veggie rice. Neither had any spice or real taste.

It became my regular restaurant on my Berlin visits. Great service and great food! The shrimp dim sum is most recommended as well as the shan ghai duck!

Tang's Kantine is our usual Chinese place in Berlin. We have never been disappointed, neither at our latest visit a few days ago. Food is creative and authentic (forget about the standard Euro-Chinese stir fried noodles with 50 shades of Glutamate). The portions are not too large, but definitely filling. Service is discrete and efficient. We had been served minced... More

The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered bbq pork belly, 2x dim sum dumplings and the meat plate as a main accompanied with a bottle of prosecco. Everything was delicious there was no time for us to take photos even! We went on a Saturday night and it was quite busy so would recommend reserving a table, great service, great... More

Sitting outside was great, and the food was nice (nothing very special, just no disappointment. And I'm a bit picky with Chinese)

Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Hence it was pretty full with students. Don't miss the drunk chicken!

Our general impression was very welcoming. We arrived and they were full and made extra space for us by fetching a table outside. We found this very polite and thought we had found a gem. T'was until my partner's starter arrived 15 mins after mine. We had both ordered wanton soup. Mine with tofu and his with pork. Mine was... More

Quality food, nice variety, tends to be authentic (as said by a chinese fellow joining), definitely not the regular "Germanized" stuff, reasonably prized, nice atmosphere (even though maybe a bit loud?) - enjoy! :-)

Not a typical Chinese restaurant. Modern place but traditional tasty food. Good vibes, good service. We had a great evening!

Nice dishes, their cucumber/chili starter is great and the menu in general is very even and contains no loopholes. Somewhat confused and slow service at times, and not very cozy, but I would still recommend this place a lot. Food is good and the location is just dying for you to go bar hopping afterwards.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
