We went in for a meal and came out very satisfied. Just what you want on a cold frosty night. A nice atmosphere, every table occupied. All good.

Interesting and tasteful tapas. I found the portions to be quite small, so do not plan on sharing the tapas. Some portions is sharable, but no more than two people. Was ale to get a nice seat outside on a hot late afternoon/evening.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on a Monday night around 8pm. It's in a lovely neighbourhood in Moabit, calm and leafy with cobbled streets. The restaurant is quite big, with lots of outdoor seating on a big wide corner, perfect for Berlin summer nights. It has very charming decor and everything was very clean and well finished.... More

After an internet check of tripadvisor and foursquare of our hotel neighbourhood moabit we chose this restaurant for our dinner tonight. We like to eat tapas and the idea of small dishes to taste more than just one plate. This seemed the perfect restaurant for that goal. We started rightaway with a fine rosé wine and a selection of 6... More

A bit outside the beaten track, at least for your average tourist, ProbierMahl serves what must be some of the best cocktails in town! They have a friendly and courteous staff, service is good. Foodvise, they haven't got the widest variety, but they do some pretty damn good burgers, cooked to your taste with a large variety of toppings and... More

The place is located a bit out of the way in a residential area of West Berlin without any particular interest. Service was very kind, but slow. The premises look a bit like a tired hotel that screams RENOVATE ME! since 1981. The food concept of tapas is cute, but very seen. The food quality and the wine list is... More

A cosy interior, they also have a lounge area. During the summer you can sit outside. For starters you can combine 3 or 6 items from a list of inventive tapas (not necessarily Spanish ones). Main courses are offered both as a smaller and as a full version. They also do a variety of good burgers. Service is friendly but... More

We remember when this was Nola (over 10 years ago!), so were curious to try out Probiermahl with friends. Pleasant terrace seating on this quiet corner, we started off outside but moved inside for the main course as they cannot serve the terrace after 10pm. Tapas selection for the starter was pretty good, albeit on the small side - we... More

Good for veggie options - tapas, salad and burgers. Polite and efficient service. Have menus in English.

Excellent food and service - very patient with my dodgy german! Not a lot of choice for veggies but what they do have is delicious. Highly recommend the burger!

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
