Good place to have a nice dinner with friends. Good food, big portions for honest prices. The staff is amazingly friendly and fun! It was an interesting dinner in Berlin.

Our visit at Schnitzelei started out started out kind of bad as there was a misunderstanding with the time of reservation made by our hotel, we came to the restaurant at 19:30 and it turned out that the reservation was made to 21:30. Instead of the host asking us to come back later, he invited us in and made the... More

What a wonderful place. The service was over the top friendly. I showed up without a reservation and it was busy. Since I was alone, they found me a table up by the bar and the bartenders were very helpful in helping me make a selection and feel welcome (a little free drink always works!) Food came out quick, was... More

Very beautiful restaurant with good food and service in the heart of Charlottenburg. On Mondays Schnitzel tag with special prices for the Schnitzel!

Been here a few times and it's always a hit ,especially with the kids, the staff are so friendly. Reading some other reviews I realize I'll have to come back minus kids and car and get in some schnapps, some of these people seem to have had a blast .

We visited this restaurant with a couple of local friends & had a wonderful evening. The schnitzels were excellent & the wine & beer were great. You will need to make a booking - the restaurant was very busy even on a Tuesday night!!

We had the tapas. Impressive and fun display on a long wooden tray. All dishes were a bit flat though and not warm enough. They should indicate the name of each dish with a tiny flag. We had 10 each! With sauces most of them are not recognisable. Ate better.

Fan-bloody-tastic. No real other way to put it. Firstly, beware... there are 2 of these restaurants in Berlin. If you happen to call the number on the website to book you end up calling the other one. When you turn up here they, unsurprisingly, aren't expecting you! Even then they were amazingly friendly and accommodating. We were found a table... More

Great visit to a local favorite. Be sure to book ahead to avoid being turned away. Cheaper prices of a Monday according to a local friend. Was a great feed with a welcome beer!

Description
The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
