Possibly the most welcoming little place in Kreuzberg. Friendly locals from the neighbourhood run this place. Groovy music. Nice decor. Food is good too but then the coffee is too acidic and bitter with a really strong aftertaste. I think the machine needs to be recalibrated and they might need to switch their roast. If you are into your coffee... More

Cozy atmosphere, good for doing work or just having a coffee. There is a nice room upstairs in the back with comfy chairs. cappuccino and croissant were both tasty.

The upper floor is nice for working with your pc. Cozy place. Unfortunately coffee, croissants and hot chocolate are all sub-par. There are better places around.

I live in the neighborhood and I often love to pay Cuccuma a visit! It's a great place to be able to focus and get stuff done on my computer. And sometimes meet interesting arty people! They have nice teas, coffees, juices and cakes but the truth is...I'M ADDICTED TO THEIR FOCACCIA WITH VEGETABLES!!! AAaaaaah sooooo good!!!!!!!!

A good combination of snacks, cakes and coffee in a place that welcomes laptop users. There is free WiFi and numerous socket-outlets.

Cuccuma Cafe & Cuccuma Campus cafe are a great place for coffee, lunch, or snacks. Great Service and free wifi in the cafe. Pieces of cake are BIG portions & their pasta is great. I have eaten here many times!!

Walked inside this place off the street and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and warm atmosphere. The coffee was great and the hazelnut cake was delicious. Definitely worth a try!

I come here pretty often and you have two options: if you wanna work on your laptop I suggest you to take your orders and go upstairs. There you will find a lot of people sitting on their laptops just being silent, so basically is like a co-working space. So I wouldn't suggest it for meetings (either with friends or... More

That's how it works and it works well. The ladies (so far only ladies) working here are always friendly and as different as the coffee they serve. Quality of the lattés is mostly very good though, can recommend the bagels too. Never sat in, but they have a few seats on ground floor and an upstairs kind of gallery (inside)... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
