Referred by one of our travel books, and for good reason. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food and service excellent. Dionysius, our server, was polite, helpful and an impeccable gentleman. 3 out of the 4 members of our party had their award-winning sauerbraten, and it...More

one of my friends recommended that I visit this place and give their schnitzels a go. Well, first of all the service was not good at all as the waiters were extremely arrogant and took ages to serve us. Schnitzels were not bad, however the...More

I gave this same branch 5 stars a few months ago, but lunch today was a disaster from beginning to end: Terribly slow service despite the few customers, very ordinary food at high prices and therefore very poor value for money. The signature wiener schnitzel...More

This is a very nice restaurant having a huge variety of food and choices of dishes which , for a tourist, is a lot to handle and you definitely need the help of the waiter on the floor to guide you. The overall experience was...More

beautiful to sit outside with a view of the Gendarmenmarkt. We enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel with hash browns. Decent local service: a bit rough but polite

We arrived at 8PM and we had to wait for half an hour before ordering the wine ( great selection). At 9 PM the wine arrived. At 10.15 PM the main course arrived ( after many complaints). At 11 PM the coffee. They apologized but...More

Pros: good location, authentic German dishes Cons: food was extremely slow to arrive (starter and main course) - I was able to have a few cigarettes outside while waiting for the food which shows the speed of service. Waiter could have been friendlier too. Ordered...More

We have just returned from the most horrifying meal we have had in a long long time. It's sad to think that we started our German holiday with a restaurant as pathetic as this. The restaurant is quite gorgeous, exudes old world charm and the...More

Veal knuckle special was delicious. Saurbraten was okay. Extensive wine selection. Limited beer selection. Small quaint set up. Fair value overall. Enjoyed it.

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

of some significant transformations, as well. The

Our meals we describe as traditional, regional cuisine with Austrian Wiener Schnitzel, which was hailed in the New York Times as "the best steak outside of Vienna." the Berlin style sauerbraten won first Prize in the German Sauerbraten Competition. Moreover, traditional dishes and recipes refined and taken up in part inspired the modern kitchen.
