We had a great meal with some authentic Chinese food. Service was a bit slow, but if you've been to a Chinese restaurant in China, you'll be fine. Definitely worth the wait, so stick it out with some starters and enjoy those before getting your mains. Easy to find and location is easy to access.

Just a few remarks on the Peking Ente. This Chinese restaurant sits on the spot where the chancellery had been until the end of the war. In fact, the Fuehrerbunker was just around behind the restaurant. On two different occasions I've wandered in at midday for a beer and large plate of something, The atmosphere is calm (in an uncalm city),... More

Service is really bad, turned us away claiming that the restaurant is not open yet at 12 noon. I asked if We could wait inside without any need for service until the restaurant is ready to serve BUT was turned away. Mind you, on the websites / restaurant main door states that the restaurant is open from 12 noon. Waited... More

Very good Food! The Peking Duck was great! Nice service, good price. Entourage so so, but the food is most important and that was perfect

I went with two of my friends this past week. We were excited because this came up as one of the top Asian restaurants in Berlin. Our waiter came to take the order, and that was it. I ordered a noodle and duck dish (can't remember the name), and asked if I could have buns on the side. He said... More

Surroundings were interesting- more modern than many Chinese restaurants but perhaps not the most inviting. However, the food was excellent- great flavours and some of the dishes were slightly spicy (which seems a bit of a welcome change for a German Chinese restaurant). Definitely glad we visited this place.

We noticed this place whilst walking around the city and checked out the Tripadvisor reviews. We weren't disappointed! Our meal was beautiful. I'm vegetarian and often find Chinese food can be a little bland but that was certainly not the case here. I had the aubergine with ginger and It was one of the most delicious things I've tasted in... More

We popped in here for an early supper. It was busy in fact it was very quiet. The food was fresh and hot. The serving were large. My only complaint was as it was so quiet a bit of back ground music would have been nice.

As a chinese I always find it difficult to find real chinese food in Berlin, most of the asian restaurants or the so called chiense restaurants are ususally owned by vietnamese people and the food is a modified version of chinese food. This restaurant was recommanded to me by other chinese friends of mine and since my first visit, I... More

We had the Tang dumplings and sewed salad, cucumber salad , fried Chicken with anise, and the fried lamb with cumin. Salads are fresh and great value; the lamb delicious. We would probably skip the fried chicken next time. Good sauces accompanying each dish. Very clean; gracious, efficient service - English too.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
