After a few days in Berlin, we wanted to eat something different from cabbage, apple and sausages. This restaurant is a gastronomic experience. We discovered refined plates created with local products and excellent German wines. The service was attentive. The restaurant is cosy. We thanked...More

I knew at the end of our 10 day trip in Germany that we would have had enough sausage to last a few months so I searched for a restaurant that offered food beyond Weiner schnitzel and found Lochner. WOW! We took a German friend...More

I was staying at the Intercontinental and Lochner was strongly recommened. It was a short walk. What a rare find. Incredible modern German cuisine. Fresh, sophisticated and outstanding cooking. A well planned and well priced wine list which totally worked ith the food. It was...More

We had high hopes for Lochner, after reading all the great reviews. We both love to cook and we dread those dining out experiences that leave us saying "We could have done this better at home" so we can be hard critics. Lochner lived up...More

This is a lovely restaurant. Beautifully decorated dining room with friendly attentive service which is professional without being stuffy. Fabulous food which is well presented and with well chosen accompanying wines. Highly recommended for a special evening

We enjoyed dinner at this little hidden fine dining restaurant. The food was good, well prepared and stylish presented. A good selection of interesting dishes. There is also a good selection on wines but with main focus on German wines which is an acquired taste....More

We headed to Lochner because it has good reviews and is a short eight minute walk on a picturesque path from the Intercontinental hotel in Berlin. The restaurant is lovely with hidden beauty like the spiral staircase, strawberry plants in glass vases on the tables...More

I had really no expectations since we were recommended this restaurant by the concierge in the neighbor Grand Hotel Espanade. We were told it should be a very good kitchen - and it was indeed! In a warm summer evening we sat outside and the...More

We were really excited about visiting Lochner because of all the amazing reviews. However, although the setting was quaint, we were a bit disappointed all round. Firstly, the menu was quite confusing as we weren't sure whether or not we could mix and match from...More

Great service, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food and wine. A bit pricier than we usually do for dinner, but the quality definitely warrants it. On the fixed price menu, for under 40 euro, got a three course meal, with wine pairings for each course, including dessert!

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
