It's the closest they could get to the Georgian cuisine in Berlin :) The food was fresh and tasty. The khinkali dough was not how it was supposed to be and the meat was very thick and heavy with too much spices and not juicy at all. However khachapuri and other dishes were really good. Pickles were nice but tkhemali... More

Visited here with friends on a recent trip to Berlin. The food was outstanding - great choice of starters (loved the aubergine with walnut paste), khachapuri (cheese filled pastries), and main courses. The Chebureki was outstanding. Great service, good Georgian wines and very reasonable (less than €200 for four and we had so much food we took some home).

All the ingredients are familiar, but the way of mixing and combining it is closed to be called "magic". Not recommendable for people with nuts/garlic intolerance - most of the dishes contain these two ingredients. We took a plate of starters, khachapuri of a very high tastiness and chicken liver - mmm, a thrilling sound of sizzled meat on a... More

While staying in Berlin I decided to look into Georgian restaurants, and found that Genazvale seemed to be considered the best in the city. It is not one of the cheapest places to eat in Berlin, but considering how cheap the food is in general in the city Genazvale is by no means expensive. The restaurant is very spacious, decorated... The place is nicely done and is frequented by Georgians & Russians who vouch for its authenticity. The Khachapuri (cheese filled bread) and the walnut filled eggplants are awesome appetizers. The Shashliks are wonderful. Desserts are OK.

We have chosen this restaurant as it was situated next to our hotel. It specializes in Georgian food. They serve mostly grill-dishes. I had a lamb skewer, which was enormous and excellent. Service was very friendly and helpful. This eatery is to be recommended.

Thank Wiesi
