To me it is not clear how this Restaurant won the travellers choice award 2012. The Food is average taste and quality. Portions are small and too expensive for Berlin prices. There are way better Thai Restaurants in Berlin. The Service however was quick and friendly. If you sit outside it is very noisy due to the rail track nearby.... More

We had a lunch in the Inside Thai just few days ago and were very pleased. I loved their dessert, sticky rice with coconut and mango, simple but absolutely fabulous. Staff was very friendly!!

Clearly not interested in custers or service. Left us waiting at the hostess table to check in and then Wouldn't allow 2 of us to sit at a table outside even though tables were available. Next.

We were a little late for our table and therefore had to wait. It was worth it as the food in this place is fantastic. Portions are huge so beware when the waitress tells you that you've ordered too much - Believe her! Service was superb and the bill at €150.00 including wine and tips was real VFM. Best Thai... We went here without checking the rating on tripadvisor and so we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and beautiful. Every meal was an artwork. I recoment their homemade icetea, it was delicious.

We had a lovely meal in this restaurant. Service was great. Although we attempted to order in German, the staff were quick to speak to us in English to avoid any more embarrassment at our pigeon German!

Pros: - location next to Alexanderplatz in the lively lively neighborhood of Hackescher Markt - all dishes come decorated with beautifully carved vegetables - good lunch deals - fast service Cons: - average food - definitely you have better options in Berlin if you fancy Thai food (my favorites - Sisaket or Mao Thai) - tables close to one another... This is the second time we have gone to this place and we liked it just as much as the first time. It is not cheap but the restaurant, quality of food and service are very good. We particulalry liked the way they presented the food - with flowers and carrot sticks. Location is also nice - between Hackesche Höfe... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
