How is Restaurant Albrecht-Durer-Stube rated?

First visit to Germany so we wanted to try quality traditional regional food. We chose the right place. A bit warm inside on a summer’s eve but lots of atmosphere and loved the decor. Staff were delightful - super busy but ever patient, good natured...and happy to advise. Asparagus and ham starters followed by yummy pork shoulder for main. We tried regional wine as well as the beer… The only disappointment is we couldn’t fit in a second visit. Be sure to book, it’s cosy and gets busy. I booked by email.More

Fantastic food and great & efficient service

We booked a table for 15 but arrived with 18 and they still fitted us in. The service was friendly and efficient and the food amazing. No need to describe the surroundings as others have done so but it really was German cuisine at its...best.More

Really cozy and inexpensive

What a cozy place! And the food and service are great. Inexpensive and typical Bavarian food is served. Book in advance! Here you can pay with your VISA card (unlike many places in Germany, which is Europe's worst country for card payments)

Good traditional food

This is a traditional restaurant with good quality food. It also has some local rums on its drinks list which are excellent. It does lunches on a few days of the week, but mainly it serves in the evenings. Close to the castle, but on...a side street it is a good choice for a quiet lunch (on the right days).More

It's a hidden gem that's easily overlooked if you don't know about it (A friend told us about it). Its cozy and small ...Make sure you have a reservation(!!!!) though, it's super busy and while we ate, we observed at least a dozen walk-ins being...turned away due to missing reservation. AMAZING

We arrived in the evening, the personnel was very nice and approachable. The service was super fast, the food AMAZING!!! The atmosphere is typical, very traditional and lovely! This place has everything for a great dinner!

Perfect food

This is a beautiful traditional German restaurant with fantastic food and fantastic service too. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Nuremberg. The staff are so friendly and helpful, even to non German speakers like us. The food is delicious and at a very reasonable...price. Their famous pork shoulder was perfect. I would definitely order it again. Highly recommended.More

Authentic and Incredible

Now I understand why it's so hard to get a reservation! Fortunately, we were staying in Nuremberg enough nights to snag a table on a Monday. Delicious Franconian dishes, beautiful surroundings and a very attentive staff -- just perfect. They even had an English menu....Please, make a reservation early to ensure you don't miss it.More

Great, Authentic German Food

Our dinner took place in a rustic house that had the vibe of a popular local dinner spot. We ordered a sirloin steak and a pork shoulder, the latter of which was at the recommendation of the host and deserves a special mention for being...phenomenal. Overall, the food was both delicious and affordable. Although we are not from Germany, we could taste the authenticity in the cooking. We hope to come back someday!More
