Obviously the speciality are the small sausages this area is known for. The menu focuses on these and provides an assortment of ways in which you may order them. They are excellent as are the side offerings. The service was courteous and swift. The interior had tons of character. I enjoyed eating here.

This city is steeped in history and a meal at the oldest sausage restaurant in the world was well worth the visit! Serving the original "Nuremberger" since 1419

This restaurant was right across the Street from our hotel. We ate there twice and enjoyed it very much. The little Nürnberg sausages are really good and we found the restaurant charming. We were there during the Christmas season and restaurants were all crowded. We were told that they did not take reservations for tables for 2 but to just... More

Food: average, nothing special Ambience: small restaurant with old interior Service: worst service I've experienced so far ---- We were in nuremberg just for a day and just saw this restaurant while walking through the city. It looks inviting and special from outside plus it says it's the oldest "Bratwurststube" in the world. Anyway the stay there wasn't pleasant at... More

Limited menu, but very good. Another big plus in comparison to Bratwursthäusle is that they are open 7 days a week and accept credit cards. Now to set the historical record straight. The original Zirkelschmiedsgasse 26 is the location of "Zum Gulden Stern", the oldest bratwurst restaurant in the world. In addition to the Imperial Castle and former Egidien monastery,... More

Since 1313 they have been serving sausages! And they are among a collection of shops selling traditional handcrafts just inside the walls of the Altstadt, across from the main train station. The Hauptbahnhof, (Hbf). You can order 6, 8 or 10 Nürnberger Rostbratwürste. I ordered 8 for dinner and had them "mit Weinsauerkraut". I enjoyed the meal so much that... More

We were staying at the hotel am jacobsmarkt and this lovely little restaurant is right down the street. The menu is somewhat limited, but all of it is good. We ate there several times. The waitresses are very kind and managed to fit us in the first times, but we quickly learned to make reservations. This place is always full.... More

Well we had to make a visit to the oldest sausage restraunt in the world ! A great place , lots of history and the sausages are wonderful. Grilled on a smoky fire. The beer here is very good too. All top quality. We sat on a long wooden bench with lots of other sausage lovers and had a great... More

My cousin drove us from Frankfurt (after five days of wonderful hospitality) to Nuremberg to board our cruise ship. Before she dropped us off at the dock, we had lunch at Zum Guldenen Stern. What a restaurant! We were warmly greeted at the door by a smiling, dirndl-clad, very pretty waitress and seated at wooden trestle tables. It was lunchtime,... More
