We had reaseached where to have a Bavarian Pork Knuckle.  That's what were ordered, it came with a traditional potato dumpling.  We got this to share, together with a salad to share.  The meat was cooked perfectly, the only shame was there was no crackling...on the knuckle, something I had been looking forward to.  The potato dumpling must be an enquired taste, which out pallets didn't appreciate.  The salad was plentiful and there were plenty of olives and cheese in it. The waiter was polite and the service was very quick.  We go back here to eat againMore

Restaurant ambient is quite different that others, staff is professional, polite, kind considering how busy this place is and how much workload they have. Food Menu is typical Bavarian, beer excellent, and overall we have had a good time. Easy to find it in downtown...area, I would say you must visit it.More

Went to Barfusser as a family group for some German food. The place was very busy and we were lucky we booked. Ordered the pork knuckle as it is something we don't see in Australia. Was very tasty although at 1.3kg (including bone) there is...a lot to get through. Everyone enjoyed their meal and also had enough for dessert. Good family dining although is a little noisy as one would expect with a crowd of people.More

Come again, missed 2 nights ago while looking for this restaurant but forgot the name. Was searching nearby over 15minutes as just remember Barfusser was at underground. Finally missed 2 nights ago due to heavy rain. Tonight we went there with google GPS, this time...come with new colleague and wanting to find something classic and historic places, I think this is the right place for sure. We met the same waiter who is so much humour and fun, we ordered the OFFICIAL KNUCKLE with soar cabbage, super nice, juicy meat and tasty cabbage which can’t find in HONG KONG. Ordered the Beer before arrive our seat and it becomes like formula thing to order, no doubt no hesitate. It’s a great place and I’m sure every time come to Nuremberg must go Barfusser.More

This place totally caters to tourists. You’ll see the food on the menu Franconia is famous for plus a few Italian dishes for good measure. Every waiter we saw tonight was Italian. Most were friendly but not lots of communication on where to seat people....Two large bus groups came in while we ate. Great keller atmosphere kind of like a beer hall and authentic decor. Food was ok. If you want exceptional food this is not the place. I saw other reviews where the tip was automatically added which is typical with groups. Since we were a couple we added our own tip. Service was good and fast so no complaints there.More

It was very busy and crowded here but the food was excellent. Prices were about what we expected and the portions generous. I had the weiner schnitzel and it was very good. I also shared some apple strudel with my husband and it was delicious....Nice atmosphere (in an old granary), although it was a little noisy because it was so busy.We enjoyed our experience here and would visit again.More

Great place, good environment, good beer and good food but .... there is a bald with glasses waiter, middle age who is a con artist. He gave me back the change deliberately wrong. In top of that , he was laughting at the same time...in our face because he knew we were tourists. Be careful whit him !!More

We reserved a table for 6 which we were shown to with no problem. The staff were very busy and had no time to be tentative and help with the menu or give any kind of customer service at all, it was like a cattle...market conveyor belt. As we were on the way to the table one of staff shoved the 6 year old boy in our party out of the way and nearly knocked him off his feet. We ordered our food, ate and went to pay the bill. We were almost bullied into leaving a tip and when we declined we were told by the waiter to f*** ourselves (under his breath but loud enough for one of our party and her 6 year old son to hear). The food was nice but there was no customer service at all. Note - I have never and will never decline from leaving a tip when the service and attention of the staff are deserved of one.More
