I go to Eleon every time I go to Nuremberg. The location is nice, the employees are very friendly and the quality of food is fantastic. The price is also very good. A place to go!

Located in a beautiful neighborhood of Nuremberg, this greek restaurant surprised me in a very pleasant way. The back yard, due to the good weather was packed, but the kind waitress helped us find a table quickly. We ordered the Gemista , which were even...better than my mother's, but unfortunately they were at the changing menu. The methismeno kotopoulo with manitaria & mavrothafni, which was properly cooked , juicy and delicious . Lastly, the sikotaki me krasi k kremmydia escorted with French fries. Even for those who do not eat leaver at all, I would strongly recommend it. The wine balances the taste of the liver and the course is excellent! I will definitely visit them again very soon!More
Need to get away from schnitzel and sausages? Eleon gives you a nice break and is conveniently located on a canal that leads you back into the old town.
The restaurant is a modern version of a greek tavern which is also great for business dinners. It has a warm atmosphere with a decent and nice furnishing. I ate an awesome liver dish there that tasted really excellent. The service was also nice and...I will definitely go there again.More
We visited this restaurant as it was recommended by our colleagues at work. We called some days before to make a reservation as we already knew that it is sometimes hard to get a table there in the weekend. It is located in a peaceful...neighbourhood in Nuremberg in a residential house. The backyard is actually used in the summer for outdoor seating and dining. As u enter the restaurant the atmosphere is cosy. Candles and dimmed lights set a nice feeling. Luckily we had a greek friend with us who would guide us through the menu. At a first look the menu is not typical with that of other greek restaurants in the city. A variety of small dishes which you can combine and share with your friends as well as a special weekly menu that changes. Our friend explained us that the dishes offered are actually the ones that he also gets at home, so it is more greek than the typical gyros-souvlaki-squid dishes that you you get in other places. We put together a variety of nearly everything to get an overview along with some typical Retsina wine. The service helped us to order the right amount, not too much and not too less. When the food started to come out to our table it looked really tasty and we couldn't wait to taste. The portions look rather small but they are rich in flavour and when combining it is really a lot to digest. My favourites were: Auberginencreme, Patatokeftedes, Hähnchenbrust Mavrodaphne and Squid filled with Feta cheese. All dishes are rich in spices as it is common in the mediterranean cuisine culture. You also get fresh bread for free with all the dishes and you can ask for more. In the end we were all full with food and happy with the wine and the service. The prices are very settle and especially when you share the food and the costs it comes off even more cheap for all. Definetely a nice surprise with this type of greek food and I can recommend this restaurant to all who like greek food and want to dive more into greek delicacies.More
Open Tuesday to Sunday. And it's a good idea to make a reservation. Very cosy interior with wood flooring, high ceilings and bare brick walls. Candles and dimmed lights sets a very relaxed atmosphere in Eleon. There is also outdoor seatings in the backyard/garden behind...the building. The menu is very Greek, but not what you find in most Greek restaurants. So - no Dolmades, no Souvlaki, no Greek salad etc. The daily menu contains a handful of main courses (always min 2 vegetarian). But the standard menu is focused on small dishes you can pick and chose between (like tapas). There's also vegetarian choices among these. The menu I selected was: Hänchenbrust with mushrooms in Mavrodaphne-nelkensauce (nelken=cloves) Spicy bauern-sausage Chtipiti - sheeps-cheese with paprika, chilies, lemon-juice and olive oil. Mecedes-variation: feta, tzatziki, chickpea-dip, sausage slices, a kind of potato patty-cakes and roughly cut vegetables. Good fresh bread, heated. With the bread on the side, this was more than I could eat. I like to try new things and I was a bit wary on the clove-sauce, but it was truly good. The combination of the dishes was fantastic. That should really be tried, instead of going for just one main-course. Service in Eleon is really good - friendly, attentive, smiling. This is really a place to go to just sit, relax and enjoy the great food, in the company of good friends. (They also do take-away.) Obs: only EC-cards or cash, no credit-cards.More
