Tucked away on the small island, this restaurant is tiny, filled with tankards and heavy wooden furniture, a very authentic setting for a great, rustic, hearty meal! We wanted to try local dishes, so we ordered a goulash, some Nuremberg sausage in onion and vinegar broth, and some fried sausage with potato salad. All were hearty portions of delicious food.... Tasty, excellent interior, very good service. Inexpensive and delicious. Lots of interesting stuff on the walls, which can be seen for a long time))))

Great place for local cuisine. Highly recommend the Barbarossa platter consisting of 3 types of local Sausage from neuremberg and weissbier. Staff is extremely friendly and added to the overall experience. Authentic interior full of antiques and unusual design.

Stumbled across this place but complete accident as is often the way to find the best places to eat. Not entirely sure why this isn't further up the Trip advisor rankings! The food was great, the beer was great, the surroundings were cosy and traditionally Bavarian and the service was second to none! Michael spoke exceptional English, was very friendly,... More

What a nice place to find which will warm you up and make you welcome, staff were friendly and spoke very good English with a good sense of humour. Food looked very good although we didn't eat there, we returned again to this place during our short stay in the area. I do recommend this place.

Try the pork shoulder or the Nuremberg bratwurst! Very intimate and good service, definitely a must-visit.

We found this place by chance at lunchtime. We only wanted a drink but the staff said no problem and showed us to a small cosy table. There is a wide choice of local beers and wines. We liked it so much we booked a table for the evening. We were given a big table in an atmospheric corner. There... More

Situated in a pretty little square just off the river, we called in on the spur of the moment, and although it was fully booked, they managed to accommodate us at a snug little table, as long as we didn't mind not having much room which we didn't mind at all. The place is really cosy and traditional inside, the... More

From the moment me and my team arrived we were impressed. The service was great, the food was unreal and the waiter Matthias was just so great! He was so much fun and made this dinner experience great. I will for sure come back when I visit again from the US.

We came across this place by accident, actually finding the door was already a sign of good luck (or maybe there is another entrance). Very friendly, English speaking waitresses..We were seated on the ground floor where there are only few tables, but so cozy! There is additional seating upstairs, but I haven't checked it out. The menu had a good... More
