Great food, good service. The place has a local atmosphere, and is not a just for tourists. Good for local flavor, as most other guests were Germans. Was there with a large group, who loved the food. The Zwiebelrostbraten and the Jägerpfanderl were particularly good, as were several deserts, especially Dampfknoedel.

Very good food and selection of beer, service was good as well. Food portions tend to be large, I could not finish mine. Prices are very reasonable and I would certainly recommend this restaurant for good quality in casual seating.

Very quaint and traditional Bavarian restaurant! We sat in the outdoor beer garden and enjoyed traditional German fare of Obatza (pretzel with cheese spread) and Kartoffelknödel (roasted pork with potatoe dumplings) and of course a few beers. The service and food were superb. Our waitress spoke perfect English. I definitely recommend this spot.

My wife and I had just landed in Munich from our transatlantic flight, checked into our hotel, and were hungry for a good meal. The staff at our hotel recommended this local, beer garden style restaurant. It is a delightful place, next to the English Garden Park. We both had very nice Wiener Schnitzel meals with Lowenbrau beer. A great... More

Recommended by the staff of the nearby Pullman hotel, I took a dinner in this restaurant. The staff speaks English fluently. I chose a Wiener Schnitzel and sipped some red wine reccomended by the staff, which was OK. Since it's warm outside, I sat in the garden and enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended.

Nice location surrounded by the park, the food is the standard Bavarian fare: schnitzel, and the beer is good. Service is ok but not outstanding.

My wife and I dined at Zum Brunnwart twice in early to mid-August 2016 upon the recommendation of the staff at the Munich Marriott. The first evening our server, Michel, who spoke excellent English, served us traditional Bavarian Obazda & Jagerpfanne. It was outstanding. It's similar to pork chops, noodles and mushrooms in one of the best gravies I've ever... More

And a fine recommendation it was. Excellent beer garden to dine in with excellent food. It was recommended to try the "munchen schnitzel" and we did. After understanding what it was,,,,,it did not sound that good,,,,,pork smothered in mustard and mayonnaise then given the breaded schnitzel treatment and fried. Good thing we trusted our hotel clerk,,,,excellent. Fine people and service.

I'm never disappointed with a visit here. The weather doesn't always cooperate for sitting in the incredible biergarten, fortunately there are two equally awesome dining rooms. Service was efficient and the food was filling and tasty (traditional Bavarian).

Description
Brunnwart is a typical bavarian restaurant with beergarden. We have 2 different rooms and a huge beergarden. We offer typical bavarian and mediterranean food. We do have a daily changing menu with specials and of course we can offer english menues. For the kids there is a nice playground right next to our beergarden.
