Me and my friends wanted to have eat German food. We ordered cabbage salad, Wiener schnitzel and Apple strudel. To drink local lager beer. The food and beer were all very good, the surroundings were German hunting lodge style. Total bill was 140 euros, not...expensive but not cheap either. Overall… nice place, good food and large portions.More

Unfriendly and incapable staff. Didn't even bother to be nice. Even after repeatedly asking to get drinks after 40min, still stupid answers. Would not give money back, as tip is taken for granted.. I take it's a tourist place, but as a local, I will...not come back...More

This is a really good Bavarian beer hall. Depite being owned by the same group as the tourist trap Hofbrauhaus, this is everything the other is not. Spendid food, a wider range of beers than usual, proper historic feel . Go there. It's great

Went as part of a large group for Ash Wednesday. The meal was served quickly and was excellent, the Kaiserschmarren was superb. This is a very traditional restaurant it has plenty of room and I would highly recommend it for a Bavarian meal.

Went with couples and had a meal in the evening. This is a very busy restaurant and needs booking. Had a large round table which was great. Service is a bit perfunctory and food came at different times. Food isn’t the best. Duck was ok...not a lot of meat on it. Mixed meat dish not very good. Downstairs is a club for older singles so beware when visiting the toilets !!More

Large, open seating area with play area for children and suitable for large parties. The deer and wild boar medallion plate was very good. Service was friendly and fairly attentive. Beer selection was a little weak but had both light and dark beer so something...for everyone.More

Because it was already Colder We were not sitting in the beautiful Beergarden. Inside it’s also nice but of course the real deal is sitting outside. The service was OK but not extremely friendly. They have a good overview of food But portions were quite...small. Especially for the price they’re charging they could make bigger onesMore

Came to Hofbraukeller on our first night in Munich with a big family group. We squished into this long table, beer hall style. Service was great and we managed to order despite our bad attempts at German. Our waiter was very organized and had a...great sense of humor! This was our first liter of hofbrau beer, even though there would be plenty more later in the week. I had a Bavarian salad which had fried sausage and pretzel croutons on top. It was nice to get some veggies in before our week of beer, pretzels, and potatoes. The dressing was really good and the sausage was delicious! My fiance got schnitzel which was ok. A little dry compared to other ones we've had. It was a great atmosphere and way to meet friends and spend our first night here!More
