We don't get to Munich often, but our trips always include a meal at Nigin. Wonderful Afghani food with great savoury flavours. I love their pilau with carrot shreds, raisins and pistachios. Nice warm atmosphere and great service. The portions are very large so you will not leave hungry. Delicious. Nigin is tucked away, look for their sign on the... More

I visited once by myself and had to return with my family. Nothing on the menu was familiar to us so the waiter offered to bring us a variety as a starter and then as a main. After one taste we were literally fighting over the food. The puncture wounds from being stabbed with forks on the backs of our... More

This restaurant is well located. We felt like something different and an Afghan restaurant seemed the right thing. The soups was great, the bread average and the main courses were nice but no taste explosion. Service was ok. If I go back than for lunch as they have ok lunch deals,... for dinner I felt it was a bit too... More

I found Nigin by accident - while out looking for a doner stand. Suffice to say, I was very pleased with the accidental discovery. First thing to note is that the main challenge with Nigin will be finding it your first time. The business card I picked up this week (September 2016) lists the address as Neuhauser Strasse 15 (the... More

Food is really spicy in a refreshing way -- actually Dhal soup they provide for Lunch Menü is way more authentic and tasty than the ones you get in Indian restaurants in Munich. Kebabs are really tasty, but vegetarians will also find some really good stuffs here :-) Highly recommended for anyone who loves South Asian food

Never had Afghanistan food before and just had to try what they had to offer. Do not know exactly what we ate but it was spicey and very good. Reminds me of North African food. The service was very good and friendly but the place is hard to find unless you see their sign right next to the pharmacy.

We first went to a five-star hotel to celebrate a special occasion, but it had no atmosphere and an unappealing menu. We then tried a couple of Bavarian restaurants, but they were crowded, with queues waiting for tables and hot and steamy rooms. Finally, we chanced up the Nigin Afghan Restaurant, which we had unsuccessfully searched for the evening before.... More

If you are a fan of Afghan food, this is your restaurant. It's small and the staff doesn't speak English all that well. We enjoyed our dinner in the patio in the back. Nice and quiet.Wine was fair but went well with the lamb and rice dinner we enjoyed.

This was my first experience with Afghan cuisine and it was fabulous. This side street location is comfortable and inviting with outside tables in the back if you are looking for fresh air. Th service was efficient and competent but the star was the food. I had grilled lamb with basmati rice infused with spinach and a side salad. The... More

What a pleasure to eat here again. Such a warm welcome and the most delicious food. If you haven't tried Afghan food before you are in for a treat, and the dishes will be explained if you aren't sure what to order. This restaurant has it all - very clean and the most beautiful and interesting decor. No visit to... More
