Went in for a diner with four people, one thing I noticed immediately like other reviews mentioned is the light and the atmosphere: totally dying in my opinion. When ordered foods the supervisor of the staff didn't recommend anything. Foods are below average which I...More

I was staying nearby and decided to try this restaurant beach-use of the reviews on trip adviser. I was not disappointed. It is a traditional restaurant in a hotel and the welcome was very good. We were shown to our table and our drinks order...More

We had dinner on our fist day in Munich (still suffering from a jet-lag) and choose the restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews. The restaurant looks nice and typical German inside. We had a good meal and drinks and enjoyed the service.

Is it good to check out a restaurant's website before the visit? Not if the expectations are raised to a level that is not delivered. The venue was clean and pleasant enough, but there were several unused rooms and a redundant buffet counter, which made...More

I tried the local Peter burger for lunch. It fulfilled the expectations and so did the service and the espresso i finished the lunch with.

I ordered room service. The food that I did order was awful and they gave me food that I didn't order. After speaking to the manager she refused to take the dish off the bill that I didn't order. So yes I paid 93.10 euros...More

Went here as we where to lazy to look for anything else on town. Ordered the shrimp cocktail for starter, and it was good. Nothing very exciting, but good. For main I ordered the butter fried schnitzel, and this was very good! And large! Recommended!...More

Had walked into the restaurant for a late lunch before catching my train. Restaurant is right opposite the central station. Food was decent, nothing special. We wanted to sit in a table with a sofa, but the host pointed his hand towards another table and...More

Service was quick and kind but food was very boring and tasted like it had been produced in a giant factory. Too much salt and low quality ingredients. Water costed more than beer. There are several restaurants in the area that serve better food.

Had a late dinner here while staying at the hotel on business. A good selection of dishes. I had a very nice local ethnic dish (Bavarian sausage and sauerkraut) and of course beer. Staff was efficient and pleasant. I could charge the food to the...More

You may book rates including breakfast buffet. If you decide to book a special rate without breakfast, you may book it as a supplement here in the hotel. The cost then is 20.-€ per person/day.

Description
This restaurant opposite the “Centralstation” has always been a part of the Eden Hotel Wolff since its foundation in 1890 by Carl O. Wolff, a salesman from Plauen. The hotel as well as the beautiful dining area in Art Nouveau soon became a fancied venue for the elegant Munich society. Unfortunately massive bombing of the area around the central station during the last months of the Second World War caused serious damage to the hotel and restaurant. Thankfully the restaurant was able to reopen in 1948; the hotel followed in the year 1950 in connection with the Oberammergau Passion Play. The origin of the former name “Zirbelstube” was due to the use of arolla pine which can still be found in the restaurant giving it its cosy atmosphere as it remains in its natural colour shade. The “Tonne”, an arch-styled side room of the restaurant adapts the well known Bavarian down-to-earth mentality with its classic interior. In the back of our restaurant you will find the “Rembrandt Room”. It is the only part of the hotel which survived the chaos of the Second World War without damage whatsoever and displays the exact same beauty as it did in the founding year of 1890. The “Rembrandt Room” offers the perfect and dignified surrounding for any family festivity or important business meeting under the eyes of the noblemen portrayed. The highest priority is the quality of the food. That applies to the product itself as well as to the preparation. A high value is set on using seasonal products which are cooked with lots of creativity and craftsmanship. Wherever possible it is the kitchen's aim to use regional products as personal contact to farmers and suppliers are cultivated. The daily preparation, in combination with first class products, guarantees the highest quality possible. The increasing proportion of the meat on the menu is obtained from calves and cattle raised naturally in regions near Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
