Went out for food and drinks. The place is nice and clean but a little bit too small. People walking by were brushing of my back. I'm sure it's a lot better in the summers when you can sit outside!

Wobbly outside tables, unkept, inattentive and slow staff. The food we tried was mediocre. It will be worth your while to walk a little further into town.
We stopped in for an afternoon drink and really enjoyed our mules. The service was good and although we did not eat, empty plates were being cleared when diners left. Would definitely like to return for more drinks and to try their food.
Hemingway's is a great pub along the Neckar River, perfect for an evening drink or meal on a summer's night. Try the Flammkuchen, super thin flat-bread. The classic with a creamy cheese, bits of bacon, and caramelized onion is tough to beat!

I was attracted by Hemingway's location overlooking the river and by the name. But disappointed by the food and service. The service was most inattentive. After a 15 minute wait to be recognized in a nearly empty establishment I was about to leave and wished...More
Somewhat unfriendly service, too many smoking guests and just ok spot. I'm sure there are many more better places in Heidelberg to grab a cocktail and bite to eat. We ordered two appetizers, one of olives, the other with speck and bread. We thought we...More
