My friend and I went to Brasserie L'Est for lunch on a Sunday, without reservations. We quickly learned we should have made 0ne, but we were offered a table on the terrace. We took it. We had a lovely meal; I had rotisserie chicken and she had lamb. Both dishes were excellent. Neither of us had room for dessert. We... More

Sunday lunch at 'l'Est' is a recommendation Very cosy, 'home' ambiance, nice people, well trained staff, good food. easy access, and parking right in front of the restaurant It was incredibly busy, but this was not annoying; on the contrary it made the ambiance of the restaurant

Late visit without reservation. We walked in without knowing this is 1 of 4 brasseries in Lyon by Paul Bocuse. Very classical kitchen brigade, in the back I could see an army of Bresse chicken spiroasting. We got a table eventually, and ordered. Fair prices I noticed. The food arrived after not too long of a wait, and was all... More

Another friendly restaurant in Lyon, with very good food. I had the best Gazpacho soup I ever tasted. Their opening time is a huge advantage, when any other restaurant in Brotteaux area is closed. You can have a walk through Parc Tete d'Or after a delicious meal at Brasserie d'Est!

Roofed in a former train station, this restaurant's interior bears lots of references to the history of the railway. Pleasant environment although a bit hectic during lunchtime. Waiters rushing around to serve the needs of their numerous customers. Rather simple lunch-menu. More interesting a la carte choices. Among them some french specialties with a modern twist.

We dined here after arriving late and they held a table for us via our hotel front desk. We arrived and it was the busiest restaurant that we have ever been into. The noise level was off the scale and it was very cramped and no room at all to move around. The table was not even laid until we... More

We came late Sunday afternoon to warm up after a walk with a tea and rum and some waffles. The service was horrible and they brought us (without asking or recommending us to chose from the menu) the most expensive rum even though it was clearly meant to go into our tea, €40 per glass!!! They thought we are tourists... More

Went there for lunch with colleagues, but it was really too noisy and the tables and seats are too close together. Food is good, price for lunch is also reasonable. Impossible to get a table unless you reserve a week in advance.
