Came here on the basis this place was awarded a Michelin star and expected quality food, unfortunately they couldn't even cook a steak medium rare, our drinks were shaking due to trying to cut through it,potatoes were hard and starter was not good, appetisers that were given to us for free were decent however you would expect more for a... I'm writing this four months after visiting and some of the courses are still as vivid now as they were then, which I always think of as a sign of a great meal. We ate from the tasting menu and it was exactly the right choice, with sympathetically matched wines. The dessert - a veritable selection of different chocolate presentations... More

We had a couple of lovely meals here. The food and service were that of a Michelin started restaurant but in a nice informal Setting. The kids were well catered for and the menu enfant was adapted to suit our fussy eaters! Lovely selection of food with a couple of good amuse bouche. Would definitely recommend.

Le Bistrot is a nice cosy restaurant, we decided to head here for dinner after reading the reviews. We've lived in Chamonix for around 3 years, and this is one of the best meals we have had here. I found it to represent good value for the quality too. We had the 3 courses, with paired wine - and each... More

We splurged on our last night in Chamonix for a wine paired 6 course meal (that was really 9 courses for the extras we received). The food was very good, well presented, although too much food for me! But it was quite an experience. The wait staff could have been a little more attentive for the money we were paying,... More

A group of us recently went to Le Bistrot for a birthday celebration. The restaurant itself if situated just off the river in Chamonix and is more formal than most restaurants in Chamonix. As it was a friends birthday, who really appreciates good food and restaurant experiences, this was one of a few options in Chamonix. The meal was a... More

What a fantastic place this is. After eating at a variety of fine dining restaurants around the world I had decided to book this restaurant in advance to celebrate my partners and I engagement. From the booking to paying the bill everything was faultless, the food was superb with a great menu choice and a great touch with the entree... More

A bit more formal than most places in Chamonix, you will still feel comfortable in jeans and boots. Food was quite good, but the service was a bit slow.

Last day in Chamonix and following a trip to the Aiguille du Midi we came back down for lunch. Really well priced set menu for lunch. Service a bit clunky as it was a young lad who seemed out of his depth, but would still recommend.

Utterly disappointing and forgettable food. Had the "Valentine's menu" which was €70 for 6 courses and was the worst fine dining experience I've ever had. The monkfish was served cold with no flavour. The veal was over cooked and unseasoned. The dessert was actively awful and inedible. Our dissatisfaction was clear after the first few courses but at no point... More
