A relaxing place, nice service, delicious French traditional food. My boy enjoyed the food, also the dessert. What I love most is the view out of the restaurant window: the Mont-Blanc! What you can expect more from a family holiday?

We stopped there during a cold day as it was right by the parking lot. We ordered big salad and a cheese fondue which was quite a big portion, very good and made us a bit warm during that cold day

This restaurant is in my opinion the best place to go to in Chamonix. They have both delicious Fondues and Pierrades as well as excellent appetizers and entrées. The team is extremely friendly and very accommodating. We visited this restaurant twice in August 2016 and twice in December 2016 and cannot get enough of it. You also have beautiful views... More

Nice restaurant, a little away from the center, however very good service and food. I asked if they could do a Fondue au Champagne for 1, and they said they would - and it was delicious! Would go back for that!

When dropped in at lunch and made a reservation for dinner. We were really looking forward to our meal based on what we had read on TA. Unfortunately our experience didn't match up to what we had read. Our salads were fine but the entrees missed the mark: one was underdone and the other overdone. For desert, the Creme Caramel... The food here is excellent. They have something for everyone and I really recommend their salad plates if you fancy a lighter meal. It is very close to the train station, but a bit out of the hustle and bustle of town, so nice for a quiet dinner. I would recommend it!

Our local restaurant when we are in Chamonix and we are fortunate. But unfortunately its popularity is spreading and booking is now more necessary. The restaurant has been made more comfortable . The glass structure allows inside / outside eating to take advantage of the exceptional Mont Blanc / Bossons Glacier views. The colour changes at sunset are memorable. Food... More

We ate at Le Fer a Cheval for lunch last week and enjoyed the meal. We had a nice meal in a very picturesque setting. They were doing construction right by our table (which was upsetting), but we moved to another table and the food was very good.

Our hotel recommended this as the concierge said that this was her favorite mid range restaurant. We found lots of choices that were reasonably priced. Most of the diners were locals and not tourists like us. Speaking only English was not a problem either. The first night we had the fondue (best in the city) and the steak tartare. The... More

Our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant and it was delightful. We booked a table (an absolute must) as the restaurant is small but were cold and tired so turned up 15 minutes before opening time. The member of staff already there took us in, made us feel welcome and served us drinks to keep us going until official opening hours.... More
