We asked for a wine recommendation from the waiter (who by the way had kept us waiting with his menus in hand). His recommendation proved undrinkable. He did not pour a taste for me which surprised us since this protocol was followed every other night we have been in France for the past month (tasted like pine tar) and I... More

We took the local bus to St Remy from Avignon just to have a look really. Finding most places closed up over lunchtime and only a few bars open for a drink we were delighted to find this lovely brasserie open. We spent the rest of our time there, forgot about sightseeing and just enjoyed lunch. We sat outside, watched... More

Had brunch here on market day. It was really busy but the two waitresses worked tirelessly to serve everyone. We didn't go inside, but sat in the sun over looking the square and the market stalls. They offer a light breakfast of coffee, juice and pastry, but we opted for the omelette, coffee and juice option as it was nearly... More

We stopped for lunch at La Brasserie du Commerce and hadn't checked ratings first. Overall, I'd say the ratings are fairly accurate. It was okay, but I think one can do better. The location is great across from Place de la Republique and the outdoor terrace on the street is very nice. The service was friendly but forgetful. We had... More

Not only was the waiting time to get our first coffee and tea ridiculously long with only half the terrace filled. Only one waiter... we waited 30 minutes. Then we ordered the cheese omelette with salad and received a rather tasteless huge omelette, which was more grey than yellow in colour, had black pieces in it. When we cashed out... More

The restaurant is located next to the Paroisse St. Martin Church, in place de la Republic. The restaurant's menu is rich and varied. You can sit on the terrace restaurant which overlooks the square, or inside. Large portions, satisfying and tasty but WITHOUT ANY unique.

We went to the restaurant for breakfast, sat down as instructed, that was it. The staff had no eyes for tourists, the waiters were content on talking to their friends and not looking around at all. After trying to get the eye of a waiter for abbot 10 minutes, maybe more we got up and left. The final straw was... More

Great place for lunch during our day at the market. Lots to chose from and everyone in our group liked their dishes. Big restaurant with lots of seating and nice patio space to people watch during the market. Service was good too

Recently had lunch - on a Sunday with the beautiful Provence sun shine down. This is a classic French Brasserie conveniently located across from the large church along the ring road near the road that takes you to Tarascon. If you come here bring your appetite - the menu selections include many appetizing Provencale specialties - we found the salads... More
