Ernest Traiteur has 2 stores closely adjacent on Rue Meynardier, the patisserie and the food catering. Both are classical French institutions and of high culinary standards. However, in the catering part we were surprised on repeated visits to over-hear the staaf indescretely rating customers behind their back (we are also fluent in French, and what we heard was not very... Excellent Traiteur with the most wonderful delishious prepared dishes. We took a few different prepared salads, meat and veggie dishes out and had a picnic on the Islands in front of Cannes with some friends who were visiting from USA. We also bought a bottle of wine and fresh bread and some French pastries. One of the best meals our... More

Delicious pastry shop - macaroons that melt in your mouth, and a chocolate & hazelnut dream that cannot be compared to anything else.

We, the french, call "traiteur" what in the USA is known as a "delicatessen", a place where all the fresh food is prepared in-house by the staff. This 80 year-old family-owned legend still makes the best "petits-fours" (small sweet pastries) in town and an incredible orange cake that will set you back several thousand calories but achieve instant bliss that... By far the best, most tastiest patisserie in town. We popped into this little gem most days and sampled an abundance of treats. You must try; pain au chocolate, and bovstock, the croissants are so yummy too. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The perfect way to enjoy a sweet sugar filled sweet treat whilst escaping the sun.

The most delicious patisserie in Cannes. We visited this place most days and tried their array of delicious treats. Our favourites were of course; pain au chocolate, croissant and the Bovstock. Staff were really friendly and always pleasant. You really must treat yourself to a little something when shopping.

We were enjoying Rue Meynadier very much. Found some great shopping deals here. Feeling a bit hungry we chose this place for a brunch. The food selection looked very fresh and homemade. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and took a lot of time to explain their products. We sat down at a table outside, to do a bit... More

Spend the day on the Iles de Lerins while in Cannes and forget the hussle bussle of the city with a short trip at sea. Of course bring a picnic basquet filled with amazing provencales specialities prepared for you by Ernest. I particularly love their Pan Bagna, la Tourte provencale, la pissaladierre, the cold cuts, pates and salamis, olives and... More
