Being part of a large group, we did not expect too much in terms of service. It was fairly swift, the food was not exciting but more than edible. The house wine was standard, if people wanted something better then the option was there to pay for it.

The food is top; excellent by far. I believe that this is the restaurant in the center of Avignon. Also it is located in a wonderful spot.

We ate here on our way South at 16:00 on a cold Sunday afternoon. Didn't look at Trip before entering. We were welcomed by a warm open fire, polite service and soothing light Jazz music! Two of us had the 'poulet fermier' with roast potato wedges and (a very small portion) of vegetables and one had 'salade chèvre'. Food was... More

The wine basically comes in red or white out of a bulk container. It was dreadful. The meal was very average. We would definitely not return.

This is our second visit to this restaurant. We had the set lunch. Haunch of hake with camarge rice. The rice was flavoured with tomatoes herbs and garlic and the fish had been herbed and fried skin side down. The pudding was a little less of a success. Blackberry cake. Very moist at the top where the blackberries were but... More

The service was very good here. They were very nice and made me feel welcome. I only had a water, so I can't review the food. But I would come back again! And it's very close to everything which is a bonus :)

We recently ate here, one very cool and windy evening, when all the pavement cafes were deserted. There was a lovey big fire lit, which immediately warmed us up. Many of the diners here were locals, which is always a good sign. The two waiters were very attentive, despite being very busy. Our excellent food was served promptly. The next... More

Food and service very good. Reasonably priced. Very close to the Palais des Papes. Made us and our dog welcome. Didn't feel rushed even though busy.

...at the Hotel we stayed at. Pretty good food all round. We drank house wine - red good, white insipid. Bull stew was very nice - at least 4 of us ate that and it was very filling.

Thank Richard L
