This restaurant came highly recommended, and the only reason that we did not give it five stars is that we were not thrilled with the special main. (The multi-hour cooked lamb was ok, but just up to the quality of the rest of the food.) Service was more than pleasant, entrees and desserts were excellent, and the wine was first-rate... More

We dined at Fou de Fa Fa based on previous reviews on Tripadvisor. The restaurant, probably due to its current no1 status, appeared to attract on our visiting night predominantly English speaking diners which detracted from the rustic French charm which we personally look for in a local restaurant. Needless to say, the food is faultless and cooked exquisitely. The... More

We had a fantastic meal at Fou de Fafa. The restaurant is very small, so reservations are a must. The food was delicious and the service was great. We never felt rushed and even though one of our party was running late, they were very understanding and accommodating. Wonderful evening!

This is a small restaurant which serves outstanding food and and I recommend booking as well in advance as possible. I spent almost a week in and around the Palais area (inside the walls) and while there are many good restaurants - this one was excellent - truly understanding how to both prepare and serve an outstanding meal and restaurant... My boyfriend and I are traveling with his daughter, who has food allergies. The hostess/waitress was incredibly informative and willing to alter dishes etc. to make our meal pleasurable. I had the duck breast and it was perfect - as was the shortbread dessert. Everything about the place is warm, and they treat you like family. I highly recommend it!

We could not get in to Fou de Fafa in our first night so we reserved a table for our second night and it was definetely worth the wait. The restaurant has only slighlty more than 20 seats so it is an intimate yet suprisingly private setting. The owner has resisted adding more tables and the result is a romantic... More

We decided to eat here based on the TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We phoned to book as suggested in the reviews. The restaurant is small with a lovely ambiance: nicely spaced tables, quiet music, comfortable surroundings. The waitress was delightful and service excellent. The menu is restricted but we all enjoyed all of our courses and would recommend... More

Thankfully I Had booked this restaurant one week in advance because when we arrived there it was fully booked. The place is pretty and very tastfully decorated. There was one woman serving and hosting (owner maybe?) she was very nice and welcoming. She spoke French and English. The menu is simple and it really take advantage of the local products.... More
