Beautiful delicious classic cuisine beautifully presented. The service and decor were of five star quality. I have been to Avignon many times and have never been disappointed. This is a chef who knows what he is doing and is among the best doin it!!

We joined two other couples for a Chef's table dinner in the kitchen, where we watched the Chef prepare, or finish, each course, which were paired beautifully with wines.

We also decided to have the fixed lunch menu which was 3 courses for about €39. The food was excellent and made more delightful by being given 2 lots of amuse bouche. The carrots that were done in tempura batter were lovely dipped in tapenade made to look like soil. Very good sommelier and pleasant atmosphere. Parking near by OK... More

This hotel restaurant was recommended to us by friends and was Michelin rated. The courtyard atmosphere is very charming and the service was excellent. Our group was disappointed by the Chef's Table/Menu. For the price, it was just OK . The fish course used a lower grade of fish then would be expected. Presentation was nice but food was less... Long time I haven't eaten as well as in this restaurant. Very close to the palace of the popes. Lunch menu for around 40 Euros was really fantastic. The fish fantastic, original recipes. Really to recommend. And if you eat a la carte, very good plates, too. Look at the reverse lemon tarte.

We left the Palais des Papes late one afternoon and saw La Mirande across the street. We walked over and looked at the menu and peeked inside. We liked what we saw and went to the front desk to learn more about the hotel. When we learned it had a cooking school we asked for a schedule and reviewed it... More

So glad Chef's Table was recommended to us. It was definitely our most memorable meal in Avignon. Don't have to be a hotel guest to be part of the cooking class or just attend for dinner as we did.

Dear Guests, we thank you very much for this comments on our cooking lesson/chef's table. This culinay event takes place in the medieval part of the property with chef Severine Sagnet who prepares an exquisite dinner on the wood burning stove, in front of the guests. The atmosphere is casual and Severine has no equal when it comes to let... More

Just besides the popes palace, this old lovely building offers delicate and tasteful cuisine. When the weather is nice, lunch on the terrasse next to the beautiful garden is a must !!

We ate in the delightful garden. Classical guitarist was playing. We had the 5 course taster menu; very interesting, each course top notch. The service was excellent. We'd go again if ever in Avignon again.
