This cozy place was recommended by our hotel in Arles. It seemed like it was popular with locals. The food was fabulous, including local specialties like "feet boat to Marseille" which includes a lamb foot and tripe (tasted much better than it might sound). One of the best restaurants on our trip through France.

Walked in from the pedestrian walking area and had an excellent dinner. The fish soup was delicious, unlike anything I've had before - smooth, dark hued and very flavorful. I would have been happy ordering a second bowl and calling it a night. I don't recall exactly what I had for a main course, it was listed on the blackboard,... More

We found this restaurant by luck on a Sunday evening when most restaurants in Arles are closed. It is a small restaurant that seemed to be operated by a mother/daughter team who specialize in local dishes. I ordered the soupe de poisson which was rich and delicious, one of the best I've ever had, with an amazing rouille. My husband... More

We ended up here after searching a restaurant for dinner without booking. Lucky, we were early so we could have a table. Very good surprise, we thought it would be a little touristy, but the food was actually very nice.

We had a wonderful lunch last week. It was a cold day and we were looking for inside dining. The dining room was very welcoming as was the owner. My husband had a specialty of the house " bull stew". It was slow cooked bull meat in a very rich and delicious sauce, servec with rice and vegetables. I had... More

Eating out in the evening in France can be a bit anxious-making for travellers as they focus so much on lunch, and you have to watch when they close - earlier than convenient in many many cases. Even in a touristy city, finding a place which appeals, in your budget range, can be tricky. We chose this bistro in a... More

We joined mostly local people here for a Saturday lunch, and enjoyed it very much. We chose two of the blackboard specials, ham with melon and a vegetarian platter, both of which were large and generous, overflowing with gorgeous fresh produce. Wine was also generously poured. More importantly, of course, the quality of both food and wine was very good.... More

Love the Main Course of Grilled Lamb Cutlet. The children's meals were substantial in size, good value and delicious. However I was not sure about the Seafood Bouillabaisse thought it was lacking in fish flavour. Also would have preferred to have had the choice of just being able to order a main or a starter & main for lunch, but... More

Wandered around Arles looking for somewhere good for lunch for our family of four and wanted to avoid the tourist traps. Found this place and we weren't disappointed. Our children declared their steak hache to be the best of their trip! We had the squid and potatoes (wonderful and very rich) and the bull stew (superb). Friendly service made this... More

We ended up here for dinner last night and didn't regret it. We weren't terribly hungry so decided to skip the starter and just have the main course. My partner opted for the lamb chops which were absolutely delicious and were served with chips. I had the daube of bull, a sort of stew made with black olives, which was... More
