This restaurant is very cosy and a bit quaint but the atmosphere is great and the food outstanding! The lady of the house 'la Mére' is very friendly and does the service all alone but I must say she is well organized and food came fast! We were standing there when it opened on a weekday and already many tables... More

Meal very good, typically french. Most dishes cooked in Pineau, the local aperitif. Small restaurant, famiy run. Atmosphere very good. Would recommend you book.

Very small restaurant nested in the quiet small cobbled streets of the very pretty old town of Poitiers. Small outside seating area in a corner on the side where the street bends. Very quiet and secluded. The place is cosy, the ornaments are kind of "belle époque". Even at the table, you feel like you're at grandma's. The manageress is... More

If, like me, you look for local produce and local specialities, this is a place to go, but book ahead, it is known. This is comfort food, especially on a cold winter evening. It is well prepared good solid local dishes with good wines to try. I went for the pâté de tête which I am not allowed at home,... More

The food was a classic mix of French bistro, local specialties (the farci poitevin was excellent) and touches of ambition. Intelligent wine list. Reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for more.

This intimate bistro was perfect for our first night back in France. Tiny (8 tables), yet quiet with the feel of privacy. With the menu on the chalk board and a very helpful and proud server everything just fell into place after we found our way between cobble stones and rain drops. A great selection of grilled meats and local... More

Very nice restaurant. Small place so you sit very close to neighbors, but it adds to the cosy feel of the place. Good prices to quality, food is amazing! Most dishes are classic french from the area, but the Escargot are a nice surprise. I recommend not ordering the largest menu though, since it is so much food you'll roll... More

Their escargot in jacket potatoes were the most incredible and stunning thing ever - I know it's hard to believe but until you've tried it I'm not interested!!! Beautiful little place with wonderful staff and ambience - at night you'll need a few extra euros but for lunch it's almost a bargain!!!

A warm, cosy and intimate dining experience hidden away in the cobbled streets of Poitiers - an absolute diners delight. Confit du canard was absolutely scrumptious and the tarte tatin yummy. Friendly and welcoming staff . Nice little selection of wines on offer. Excellent value for money and well worth a visit. 10 out of 10!

We came to book the restaurant for dinner but liked the look of the Formule Midi so decided on lunch. Starter was a lovely warm goats cheese salad. Main was delicious ham in a creamy sauce and potatoes while dessert was a stunning chocolate fondant. Home made bread rolls and a half bottle of Rosé and the bill was less... More
