A very pleasant evening, superb food imaginatively presented but not over-artistic like some top restaurants, top quality and taste and good quantity. We had accompanying wines by the glass as recommended by the waitress, and they were very good too. The ambience was excellent - we were lucky that it was still warm enough to eat on the terrace, uncrowded... More

The food was truly exciting. Surprising combinations of absolutely delicious flavours and textures. Our compliments to the chef. Because the food was so exceptionally good, I hate to leave a less than perfect review but the service really did leave a little to be desired. We had the wines paired with the dishes. Most of the time the wine came... More

Food was very special. The 6 course set menu was exquisite and the wine list was as impressive. Service is also impressive and attentive without being intrusive. There is a lovely courtyard area under cover that is beautiful on a clear night.

Friendly and light atmosphere for what is probably one of the best restaurants in Angers! This small (and not so easy to find) restaurant offers a wonderful cuisine, prepared by a very inspired chef. Plates are well dressed, generous, and offer delicious and sometimes surprising associations. A serious gastronomic experience, right in the center of Angers! It is worth a... More

I ate here with a group of friends in September. Extraordinary food and exceptional wine pairing. We ate of the tasting menu and it was amazing. The service and attention to detail are fantastic. Expensive but well worth the price for the quality of food and service.

Favored by locals and almost impossible to find from the street, this restaurant offers very imaginative dishes from a Michelin-starred chef. We had langoustines and foie gras for starters and foie gras and cod for the main course - all excellently prepared and full of flavor, with few amuse bouche in between. The open kitchen lets you see how your... More

This is one of the cases where you get very imaginative dishes, with names sometimes a bit esoteric and still enjoy an excellent meal. Memorable even, not for the weirdness of the things you eat (even if, sometimes, it might be) but for the gastronomical pleasure you derive from that.

We have been following the chef from afar and were delighted to visit and see his new setting and experience his international tour menu. The service and setting were delightful and the wines were carefully selected and delicious. I am not sure whether it would be more successful to pick one country and riff on that country's food for an... More

Having searched for a michellin-starred place to have lunch in Angers, we stumbled across Le Favre d'Anne. We were a little disappointed to find that they had changed premises (no water or castle views anymore!) and got a little lost trying to navigate through the hotel to the restaurant (clearer signs would be good!). However, the terrace on which we... More

The Favre Annne is managed by a couple. Pascal, the chef is excellent, as are the welcome and the choice of wines led by his wife, Mathilde. In summer it is possible to have lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the Medieval Castle of Angers: Magic!
