A menu hastily scrawled on a blackboard, a room crowded with people clearly enjoying themselves. "Everythings good here" shouted the man at the next table as we tried to make out the menu, and he was right. The gambas were a delight, with honey in...the sauce. The rushed and overworked waitress - there was only one - kept her cool and laughed a lot. The bill was low. Troivilleis an expensive town with a lot of restaurants which don't bother because they get customers anyway. So we learned to prize the few that take trouble to serve good food and charge reasnable pices. We liked it so much we tried to go the next night, but though it was supposed to be open, it wasn't. I think it's the sort of eccentric place where they open up if they feel like it. You can't book, just turn up and hope you're lucky.More

We were here having lunch with our family of 3 little kids. The place was very relaxed with children. Always nice. Besides, the food was great (both fish, meat, vegan) and the atmosphere very nice. Dining a bit faster in tapas style suits our family...a lot better than having a longer seat. That’s what this place offers.More

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Fast service with a smile. And although on a busy crossing. It is mainly a pedestrian crossing so it even adds to the experience of looking at other people, which seems to be the main hobby of most people:-).

Had a selection of small plates, all delicious. Great choice of wine. A small characterful restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere and absolutely charming staff. Service was excellent. Good value meal and we would highly recommend.

The owner speaks French and English and is one of the nicest we’ve met. The workers are all friendly too. We mostly go for breakfast or lunch but I think there is a stronger clientele at night. The atmosphere is clean and nice and I...don’t feel uncomfortable being alone. Some places don’t feel as secure as others.More

We ate at Les Affiches in October 2020 on what happened to be the last night before the 8 PM couvre-feu (curfew) was imposed. To celebrate our return and the restaurant's re-opening, we started with excellent kirs aux murs. For starters, we had a carpaccio...of dorade and a chilled crab salad, both wonderful. For the main course, I had queue de lotte that was incredibly tender. (If lotte is cooked just a minute too long, it becomes rubbery. This lotte was cooked to perfection surrounded by a broth with assorted fresh vegetables.) My partner had a cote de veau, so good that he was a bit stingy about sharing. For dessert, I had the profiteroles (always excellent here) and my partner had a wonderful, warm apple brioche. Instead of a bottle, we tried pichets of wine (Muscadet and Brouilly) and were quite satisfied. We've reserved for next Sunday. (Reservations at Les Affiches are much easier to get for a Thursday or Sunday.)More

We had lunch here - the food was delicious. Cooked by a chef who knows how to perfectly make the food. Great wine as well. We had a fantastic experience.

We had a lovely lunch. All the food was delicious and very well presented. Staff were also friendly. Ignore the poor quality restaurants in the square and seek out this place.

Owner is very personable and involved in making sure the food is exactly to your liking. The setting is cozy, yet open and very welcoming. I look forward to returning, though next time i hope to sit outside.

Was last there a year or so ago, we live 40 minutes away and visit the coast out of the holiday season. Know most of the restaurants , but this remains the best ( for me ! ) not 'posh', not touristy, bistro atmosphere, compact...menu, but excellent quality and price / quality vey good. Small tables, busy local regulars, out of the way, but well worth searching out, metres from the sea, and the busy tourist busy promenade ! Service prompt, friendly, food very fresh and very enjoyable. Mostly fish / seafood orientated obviously, but usually an alternative on the menu ; check beforehand. Reservation highly recommendedMore

This is our go-to place in Trouville. We had an assiette de fruits de mer (bulots, shirimps, and oysters, all very fresh and tasty) and a croustillante de chevre for starters, then we both had filets de dorade royales, all with an excellent bottle of...Pouilly-Fumé. For dessert, we had profiterolles (if you're a connoisseur, this is the place) and a caramel creme brulé. Perfect.More

This is a great place we‘ve visited several times since discovering Trouvilles two years ago. Since we love the French cuisine so much we tried (and keep trying) a number of places in and around Trouvilles. But nothing could match-up really with Les Affiches: the...cooking is interestingly inventive, yet not over-fancy, with classic dishes that are sometimes cooked with a twist but without exception prepared so fresh and pitch perfect to the point that it seriously made us wonder whether we should go on testing other places or just give in and eat there as often as possible (they are often booked out, so make sure to reserve well in advance!). service is super relaxed and helpful and family-friendly, too; pricewise it’s not cheap but in comparison to other places in Trouvilles you pay less for more. All of this in A location right off the boardwalk that could easily go tourist-Trapps. Instead, In Les affiches, you simply feel at home. immediately. Which is a great thing - and a sign of truly great gastronomy that will keep us coming back again and again to this wonderful little gem of a restaurant.More

Stopped here for a Sunday lunch and left very impressed. The braised squid with chorizo was amazing. Exactly what a chef wants to eat on vacation.

Best family food ever: amazing 'rillettes de crevettes' (shrimp spread) and Espadon sauce Vanille (Swordfish with vanilla favoured sauce). A real treat from beginning to end, great service. Reasonably priced too! We just loved the experience. It's quite popular, so I advise to book a...table ahead of time.More
